Lax grunted in anger, pain, and utmost hatred. He felt the blood trickle down his neck, the bones in his body ache from Ryu's assault. The ground seemed to move under Lax's vision as he clutched dirt in his fingernails, gritting his teeth. In blind fury he raced to where Revan was, standing as close to him to grasp the point end of his katana. Blood dripped from his hand, but he didn't care. His head collided with Revan with a headbutt, followed by kicks to the gut, where he'd previously once bandaged his wound. It was much more rejuvenating to deal physical contact than use a weapon, Lax thought sadistically to himself.

Ryu had retreat a ways back so he would be in the middle of it and could watch them fight, the water gave him strength and he was glad he wasn't near them. He could sense the murderous intent from the new man, and it concerned Ryu. He kept his eyes on Lax and sighed, known he would have to kill him if the other man failed to. Ryu hated the idea of killing him, but he would if it meant another innocent life. Suddenly there was a presence that Ryu sensed behind him.

"You don't have to hide, I mean no harm to anyone." He said.

Benjamin leapt down front he branches and sighed, this monk was so observant. He was sure nobody could get past him, his senses were sharper than his katana.

"Please, look after my companion. I have other business to attend to." Ben said.

And with that, the presence was gone and Ben had left. Ryu smiled to himself and nodded, he would, he could sense a storm within the other man, one that needed calming and direction.

Revan took the blows to his chest, each kick a reminder why he disliked this man so much. With a nonchalant look Revan spoke to Lax. "Are you finished?" Without waiting for a response, Revan head butted Lax in between his eyes. He raises his blade and began assaulting the man with a flurry of cuts and slashes. "Come on, friend. I was just beginning to have fun."

Lax began chuckling after each slash, though the blood splattering in front of his eyes was anything but a laughing matter. Lax didn't care. The sight of his own blood being spilled thrilled him maybe even more than his victims blood. Although for this particular situation, he preferred to see more of Revan's blood. Much, much more. Through the aching of his body, Lax did the same and slashed Revan across the arms and chest a few times with his chakram. The adrenaline only grew from here on. By grabbing Revan by the head, he began slamming it against the ground repeatedly. Eventually, fatigue would get the best of him by this point.

With each successive hit, Revan was dealt a good amount of damage. He was tired. So tired that pain was just an afterthought. When it seemed like darkness was going to overtake him, a whirlwind of images filled his mind. They were broken, disorderly, and incomplete. The images portrayed him as an assassin for a shadowy crime syndicate. Are these...memories? The sound of his head smacking the ground meshed together with the sound of the fragments of his life. He planted seeds of hatred between rival groups. He would massacre hundreds of people without question. He would infiltrate tight nit families and clans, and masquerade as a member while he slowly destroyed them from the inside. The true form of Revan the Crow- was a monster. I did..these things? So much is still missing. He came to. Lax was mercilessly beating him to the ground. He seemed tired as well. I will not die here. Not when this much progress has been made. Revan thrust his finger upwards, stabbing it into one of Lax's eyes. He took the moment to roll back and escape Lax's grasp.

Lax held his eye with a low growl. His body refused to move and retaliate. Lax cursed his human vulnerabilities sometimes. He never felt like he belonged in a human body, rather a demon or some sort of beast. "I should've killed you long ago..." He growled hatefully under breath, anger transforming his face into something ugly. "Die!" He pounced on Revan like a wild animal, his fingers covering his neck as he held him down, attempting to watch him breathe his last breath.

(I'm okay with Lax dying honestly, or at least being put out of commission permanently in some type of shape or form xD We need some death in this rp.)

(I'm going to assume that Revan has permission to kill Lax. RIP you crazy mofo XD)

Revan felt the pain of a man driven by rage writhing his neck as if it were a wet rag. His katana was just out of reach. Stubborn bastard! He gasped desperately for air. He wondered why the monk hadn't assisted him in this fight. Perhaps it is only mine to fight. He stretched his arm to the point of near dislocation, so he could reach a stone. Revan bashed in Lax's skull, throwing him off Revan. He got up and went to his blade. Lax was still breathing, but it was labored, and he was clearly in a great deal of pain. Revan limped over to the half dead man. "You know, we could've been brothers. We have similar tastes, and we enjoy the same things. However, this world is not fit for two monsters. Goodbye, friend." With a quick motion, Revan pierced his former comrade chest, and into the region of his heart. He didn't feel pleasure in taking this man's life. But rather he felt pity- perhaps even sadness. Revan withdrew his blade, and began walking away.

(...WhY did you have to make it that sad ;-----;)

Lax felt a faint light flash before his eyes. He didn't have much to live for anyway, but his final thoughts wandered to the city, where he made his first encounter with other humans, most of the faces were blurred, but one was very clear to him. His thoughts ended to the mansion, where Thania crossed his mind briefly. There wasn't much to live for indeed, not because of his forgotten memories, but because he knew even if he remembered everything from the past, it wouldn't give him anymore of a purpose in life. The wind blew the leaves up into the sky, a harsh wind that seemed to utter incoherent, hollow words, "Thanks, friend...."

Ryu had watched this fight to the end and shook his head in sadness. Another life taken by senseless violence, but then again, how many lives would've been taken by that man? Ryu pushed himself up and picked up his monk spade, and walked toward Lax's lifeless body. He dragged his body a few feet away from the river and began to dig a grave for the man. It took him a while, but he had finished and began performing rites on the body, as a sign of respect. Ryu picked up Lax and carefully placed him in the grave and began to bury him. After he had finished, he piled a few stone at his head, as a sort of marker.

"May you find the peace in death that evaded you in life." Ryu said.

He made a hand sign and then bowed, and turned to leave. He felt the call of something strange, telling him to head out of the mountains, to which he complied.

(You're quite welcome, it would be really rude of Ryu to just leave Lax there to rot in the river. )
