I've been to a few medium sized conventions in Michigan, such as Shutocon' 13, '14, Godaikocon '13, and 3-4 comic conventions. which
I've never been to an out of state convention. In a few days I will be going to Anime Festival Orlando in Florida and I was wondering what to expect there and if there's any advises that I should know to do at out of state conventions.
I'm also really worried that people will be scary/mean or I won't fit in there. It's also my first time going to a convention where I don't know anyone going.

Hi! Just remember that to other people, those conventions in Michigan may be out of state conventions too! What advice would you give them?

I'm not really familiar with either of those, so maybe it's the size that's the main difference.

Anyway, I'm actually closing this thread, because there's an existing thread for Anime Festival Orlando and that would be a great place to post those questions.

Also if you browse back you might find some older threads that give advice about going to cons alone, or where you don't anyone...you can just browse to see what others have said, or post questions there to see if you can get new responses.

Here's the Orlando convention thread: /forumtopic-857507/anime-festival-orlando
