Isn't flying downwards and falling the same thing... Humans don't have wings and can't fly either way

To answer your question though, I'd rather fly downwards, since I can just fly back up before i reach the ground. Never said anything about how I'm flying though so the question itself is flawed.

Either way you are going to hit the ground. I said to fly downwards. You cant fly back up because you can only fly at a downwards motion

??? If i'm flying downwards,I could still choose my velocity at which I'm going down at. If I'm at a slow enough velocity I could just absorb the impact easily. So between fall and flight.. having the ability to choose is better. The only problem lies in the place I land..

You don't fly downwards or just fall. You fall.... with symmetry! Free internet cookie for anyone who guesses the reference.

I guess I'll go with a classic here:

"Flying is just throwing yourself at the ground and missing."

Sooooo....fly downwards.

Also instant respect to the first person to get where that quote is from.

it depends, can I have a cape? if I can then I'll fly down while making wooshing sounds

I choose 'fall' just because everybody is choosing "flying backwards" and I hate going with the flow whatever it means, bring it on!

Is how the question is worded part of the trick or is that just because English isn't your native tongue?

Not being snarky I genuinely don't know if the wording is part of the riddle, or if it's even a riddle at all.

I'll say fall, from a height of my choosing. 3cm! ... 'flying downwards', at least for me, insinuates a bigger distance than to fall. Entirely subjective understanding of the words you chose though...

Completely mind****ed myself.
