Demon, demons are more powerful. Some demons don't have existence they are omnipresent and unlike vampire they don't depend on only one thing.

I think a demon is more powerful because it is fully a demon whereas a vampire is usually just a human transformed into a demon.

Let's go with the commonly attributed characteristics of each, shall we?

Vampire Strengths

-Flight
-Super strength
-Super speed
-Summoning bats and/or wolves
-Memory alteration
-Temporary, simple mind control which can eventually lead to complete and permanent enthrallment
-Cannot succumb to physical diseases
-Immune to poisons

Demon Strengths

-Flight
-Super strength
-Super speed
-Possession of unwilling subjects which entirely subdues their consciousness
-Inflicting any ailment, including paralysis, plague, or mental disorder
-Establishing telepathic links with unwilling subjects
-Nearly omnipotent (able to make people immortal or die at will, can create and destroy matter and energy, can transform people/objects, and so on)

Vampire Weaknesses

-Bursts into flames if in contact with sunlight for extended periods
-Burns extremely easily (we're talking dried out grass stacked beneath a dead Christmas tree soaked in gasoline)
-Cannot come into contact with running water
-Flees from scripture if read aloud, hymns if played or sung
-Cannot touch holy symbols
-Enters stasis if stabbed in the heart, and dies if decapitated and burned afterward
-Must feed on blood daily in order to avoid first falling into madness, then eventually into stasis
-Has a severe allergy to garlic

Demon Weaknesses

-Can be banished by a trained clergyman or clergywoman
-Can be destroyed by a deity
-Often cannot interact with the material world without either first possessing someone/something or being summoned
-Sometimes (rarely) has its powers suppressed while inhabiting a mortal

A classic vampire would do well to stay as far away from a classic demon as possible.
