It would be close to impossible. The odds are about the same as meeting someone who looks identical to yourself (assuming you are not a twin).

There is no chance they would be identical, but the question is asking the probability of them looking like identical twins. The closeness would be much greater in siblings with the same parents than it would a completely random person.

Out of the people I know who fit these requirements (about 5 months apart, same genes of parents, same gender) one out of about 40 looks pretty darn similar. I'd say the odds for a perfect resemblance are about 1/1000.

The thing about "as they grow older they'll become less similar" I disagree with, since as identical twins grow older they also develop their individual traits. There is more leniency simply because of the fact that as normal identical twins grow older their appearance diverges more.

It's more common for your brother to marry her sister and have a child that looks like yours, because then their ages would be close. Well, I guess it depends on what your brother looks like, lol, idk what I'm saying.

So, the twins are identical twins. (your wives)
Therefore they are like the same person, and the two sons share as much genetic information as two brothers.
Brothers share 1/2 of their genetic material (on average), given that they get 1/2 of their father's and 1/2 of their mothers (considering any gene to be sorted independently).
However the chance of the brothers looking identical is almost nil!
This is because the are so many factors which are randomly assorted to create a phenotype, and then those phenotypes are moulded by the environment, well... it's a very long shot to get an brothers who look identical.

almost none. since they are identical twins (the mothers), the kids will be the same looking as the average pair of siblings.

doubt the odds of this happening in real life xP but maybe a slight chance because of genes though the child would look different from the 1st child

probably im possible because by the time they've grown up they probably wont be identical anymore and even if you had two kids at different times they wont look the same
Posted 6/28/07
i suspect they would look very much alike
