I am sure everyone who has ever watched a video on this magnificent website has experienced what I'm talking about.

You turn on the video, regardless of the definition, and it stops every five to ten seconds, for several seconds or longer, to either buffer or stop playing, which may lead to a refresh of the video, after which these same problems may still be experienced.

It's been suggested before, but why hasn't a loading progress bar been installed yet? It would make this problem a lot less annoying. The orange bar of suspense, this game of not knowing when the video will stop and when you'll have to wait for your glorious anime to continue... It needs to end soon.

A simple lighter or darker loading bar placed inside the current progress bar, like so many other video servers, is all I ask for.

I hope this isn't too much to ask for. I've just had way too many problems with the video stopping. Literally every video I watch stops for an indefinite period of time. No matter where I am, how strong the connection is, or which series it is, the video stops over and over until I have to switch to my phone, my smallest device, and watch everything on there, rather than every high speed internet-connected computer around me with a larger screen, which is less pain for the eyes.

Thank you.

+1, especially for PS3/PS4 app. As sometimes the video just decides not to load after a certain point so needs to be reloaded, but you don't know that till you get to the point that it stopped loading at...

This is a problem but it's not specific to any one platform. Most apps and even the site itself are having this buffering problem. I don't know what a progress bar would do to address that.

I'm not saying it would solve the problem, it would just let me know when it will happen. If I can see where the bar stops, I'll know if I am wasting my time waiting or not.

But it doesn't get any better, if anything it just gets worse. They can show me it won't work, that's great, but it isn't going to make these awful widespread problems any better. Instead of showing us when it won't work, how about fixing the buffering issue so that it WILL work? I don't know if it's a server error or what, but I'm on the east coast and have friends here that experience the same issue on different apps, be it PS3/4, Xbox, iOS, Android. Whatever.

I'm on the east coast too, but the only times I have connection problems are when I'm on the computer. Phone almost never has an app-based problem. I'm tired of sitting and waiting and refreshing until the key is stuck. Just knowing that, after about two refreshes, the buffering is SHOWING no difference, instead of displaying a frozen screen with no foreword, would at least satiate me.

Something somewhat similar that I would like to see is the episodes amount watched progress bar that's on the web based version ( if you've watched half the episode and leave the web page it remembers and displays that on the episode icon )in the apps since not all episodes in my queue Automatically go to the coming soon (episodes to be aired) so a lot of times I confuse them for a new episode, so I end up having to either watch part of an episode I've already watched to go to the website or episode history to cross reference which episodes are the new ones that i can watch on my IOS or android or even ps3
