I have played every Tales game brought to the US except Phantasia because of the horrible translation. And I have played the Japanese versions of Vesperia (PS3) and Xillia as well.

My favorite would have to be Vesperia (Yuri x Estelle all the way), but Abyss comes really close as well. My least favorite would be Graces, in part because the characters were below-par for the series, and because the battle system sucked compared to the FR-LMBS in Abyss and Vesperia. Eternia (Destiny 2 over here) was a fun game but was really hard for a Tales game.

Thankfully for us in the US, Xillia 2 comes out on August 19, Hearts R sometime later this year, and Zestiria is also confirmed for western release.

I have only played 2 tales games and my favorite is Xillia, the other one is Graces f but i didn't like the battle system so much compared to Xillia and the story isn't that good in my opinion.

I plan to buy Vesperia and Symphonia Chronicles soon and i hope they are as good as Xillia was.

I've only played Tales of Graces f. I never played any of the other Tales games.

Tales of Legendia is the least popular among Tales series I guess, but I did enjoy playing the whole thing. It's one of my favorite Tales games. Then I will include Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Phantasia.

I liked Legendia a lot too. However, I think that the order of parts 2 and 3 (Character Quests) should have been switched. Part 2 of the game (Shirley as the Merines) was really the climax of the game, and when finishing part 2, you actually get the end game credits as well.

And while Legendia is not as popular as most Tales games, Chloe has many fanclubs.

I like Chloe. She's my fave character in Legendia, or rather, my fave in Tales series. I like her fighting style, her skills as a swordsman, and her awesome Eres. I would always want her to make combo with Senel's eres. They have good combination.

Funny; I was planning on making a thread for this very purpose, and here it is!

Vesperia, Symphonia, and Abyss would be my picks, in that order from favourite to third favourite.

Destiny and Eternia are very nostalgic for me, and are a nice change of pace from a lot of more conventional JRPGs.

The title I was most disappointed in was Innocence. I went out of my way quite a bit to find the Japanese rom, and aside from my poor Japanese, the title as a whole wasn't very pleasing. Additionally, my only exposure to Phantasia was the GBA version with very painful English voice-acting. I enjoyed the game itself, but I wish I could play it with only the text.

My favourite character is Repede from Vesperia. I really wanted to crack Karol and Estellise's heads together at every waking moment of playing.

Tales of Symphonia. I loved the characters and the adventure. I didn't find any of the characters annoying. I also really liked Tales of Xillia.
But I only played Xillia, Symphonia 1, 2, Graces f, Abyss, Xillia 2, Vesperia.

The worst Tales game that I could not get through would be Symphonia 2: Dawn of the new world. Just not my cup of tea.

I would have said Tales of Eternia because of Farah's attack Beast (Chi), I've probably abused that with those annoying enemies and Celsius was gorgeous too ^_^. My brother and I played two players in this game so it was really enjoyable, and I absolutely love the card game. haha.

But I really did enjoy as of recently was Tales of Graces f, my main motivation was Pascal and the hilarious skits at the end of every battle. It never made the game boring for me.

I haven't finished Symphonia yet and Legendia's character quest. The OST for Legendia was great too, better than Xillia's OST.

Hm, Vesperia I haven't played it but it seems to be one of the popular Tales game... wish they released it in PS3 though ^_^;;

Tales of Phantasia. Because none of the good versions of it have been (officially) localized, and because the (wretched) GBA version came out so late compared to the others, no one realizes how big an impact the original game has had on JRPGs as a genre: in-game voice acting, a fully voiced theme song (on a SNES cartridge!), a real-time battle system, etc.

I don't enjoy Tales of games as much as Namco Bandai's other games, but Tales of Destiny was alright.

I've only played Tales of Xillia so I'm going with that. Getting ready to play Tales of Xillia 2 though
