A late thought for this topic: I find it interesting that so many people list Vesperia as a favorite, since, in the U.S., it is something of a bastard child due to being on the 360. Granted, it is a good game, but this is normally such a Sony series. ... Then again, Symphonia has another big following, and those two came out on Nintendo consoles (barring the PS3 rerelease).

It's not out in the states yet but based off the opening I'll pick Tales of Zestiria. If I have to choose one I've played it would have to say Tales of Kurea or Tales of Friendship... Actually Eternia just for the Uno.

The Tales of Phantasia opening theme for the PS1 is far more catchy than most Tales of bgms.

I would like to see self-sacrificial Tales of characters or have the balls to give a life for a life.

Favorite is probably Destiny-R because of how fast-paced it is. Abyss, Vesperia, and Rebirth are all enjoyable too.

I played Xillia and Graces-f recently, and I enjoyed them both for completely different reasons. I still ahve Xillia 2 in my backlog--probably for awhile.

He must be as manly as Gutts, Raoh or Shirou Emiya.

My favorite would have to be a tie between Symphonia and Vesperia. Vesperia has a great story to me on my 2nd playthrough, while Symphonia to me had very good character and musical score to me

Since I've only owned Nintendo consoles I've only had the pleasure to play through Symphonia, its sequel and Abyss. I also saw a Let's Play of Vesperia. And I gush over all of those in the spoiler.

Overall I really like the Tales of series. I just wish Namco paid some more attention to western Nintendo owners. I know Phanasia is from a Nintendo console, but I'm not sure I would enjoy a 2D Tales game as much. I may try it sometime.
