Eh, I'll just talk about some legal places to read online -

MangaBox is decent, and they add new series pretty regularly, but they only have the first and latest chapters online; if you want to read back issues, you have to read it through their app on a device - and it's hard to read them on an iPhone (would be a lot nicer if I had a tablet). Also, I'm not sure if they have the option to buy back chapters that have expired.

Comic Walker has both Japanese and English versions; the offerings on the English side are pretty sparse, and most of them aren't regularly updated. Their genre search parameters are sometimes odd or hilarious ("for Male Otaku," "embalming," "pitiful main").

Here's someone's collection of various places to read online legally; I haven't tried all these sites out: http://mangabookshelf.com/44556/the-legal-manga-reading-sites-you-dont-know-about/

I'm a subscriber to Viz's Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine, so I usually prefer reading on legal websites. I also sometimes read the manga here on CR as well.

I started collecting physical copies of manga volumes again, idk why, guess I just like to have an actual book held in my hand.

I'm a sucker for spoilers, so I read scanlations to get a peek at the next chapter, and then read the official translation once it comes out.

yeah i use scanlations. The ones I really want to physically own are not licensed (AoT is an exception). I'm not going to buy manga that I simply "like". For example, Ao No Exorcist, Kuroshitsuji, and Pandora Hearts; all are licensed, but I'm not sold enough on the stories to buy the manga. So again I use scanlations, 'cuz once the manga are completed I have no desire to read them again.

thankfully Naver now has an English app out for their webtoons so although their translations kinda suck & they're far behind in some comics, I can at least read those legally and, even better, for free.

But I have a dream that one day Noblesse will be licensed and I can have all the volumes in my hands...

Physical copies is my ultimate first choice.
If I can't find them and I'm desperate to continue/finish the series, I'll look for a digital copy, and last last last resort - scanlation websites. I don't really like doing things the illegal way, so I really save this for if I'm completely out of options

In order of preference, if I can afford it:

eBooks > Online reading > physical manga

In order of preference, if I'm broke:

Online reading > eBooks from library > physical manga from library

I prefer digital because i'm running out of physical space. I'm a subscriber to the english Shonen Jump and read it every week. I never go to scanlations.

Physical copies for popular licensed titles, scanslations for obscure, hard to find stuff.

Face it, there are simply some excellent manga out there that never get licences as they are deemed not popular enough to generate income for the licensors outside of Japan. If some of these niche manga actually gets licensed in NA, it's either gets released reeealy slowly (once a year per volume, two if you're lucky) then cancelled eventually due to poor sales (example: Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service by Dark Horse) or the manga company just shuts down, period (cmx, etc). The NA market is saturated with shoujo and shine because that's what keeps the industry afloat, but personally I want a bit more diversity so I turn to scanslations.

I have around 600+ physical copies of manga dating back from when TokyoPop was around and still called Mixx, and various manga readers on different devices for my morning commute. I like both.

i buy psysical books from several sorces ( used book stores, amazon, bans N nobols ect) i also buy em on kindle apps, and if i must cause they haven't been lisenced by a publisher yet if ever ill read off my scanlator app but i prefer to support the author by buying there works legally so that they can give us more manga/lit noval stories that we love so mutch ^_^

as for Crunchyroll's manga i usally read them on the CR manga app so i can acully see the page instead of the website all though it is a bit irrateing that every once in a whille they make u wait a extra week for the new chapter to be put on the app pft but over all there app is pretty good tho

- I prefer physical copies the best; but my family's poor, I don't like working hard, and I don't know how to read Kanji, so that's a no go.
- Never even tried using the CR reader before...k, think I did once, but don't even remember if I liked it or not.
- Meaning the only one left is what I use; Scanlation sites. It's a 50-50 possibility of it being a good or bad scanlation, but they have a larger selection and they're free, can't complain.

In the end I would like to have the physical copies tho....*sigh*

May I ask what app you use? I've been really trying to find a good manga reader.

I use an app on my Android phone called Manga Rock that I use for my manga viewing needs. Really enjoy it.
