I like Guilty Crown but my friends say it didn't appeal to them. I immediately liked it from the first episode so I was really shock when they told me its not interesting for them. Well, different people different preferences.

Just remember that Baskin Robbins had 31 flavors of ice cream because not everybody liked vanilla.

I think I am the only one to like Planetes. I sing its praises as a very, very good hard science show to the crowds and zilch. Nothing. Nada. You can find the Wikipedia article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetes

Planetes was one of the first anime I bought (along with quite a few others to be fair). I still haven't watched it. Really need to get around to it.

I don't think I've ever been surprised to hear that there are people who dislike something I like (maybe on an individual basis when I thought it'd be something they'd like).

At least anime can be quite varied so there's something for almost everyone (although maybe not always as much as you'd like of the things you like).

I sometimes think it might be kind of nice if there was a show that everyone liked, might help bring people together.

Had heard good things of it, then saw it on sale at a con so picked it up. Love it and how it maintains such reality for space travel. Also,

I really liked Beyond the Boundary (put I too have a slight glasses fetish ), I felt it was a bit rushed and just didnt like the last 10 seconds

I'm gad to find other fans of Planetes out here. As I said in a previous post I found Yuri's back story to be incredibly moving and it even brought tears to this old fool's face.

Yes. Yes you should. The art might not be cutting edge, but it's good enough but the stories and hard science is top notch.

Kannazuki no Miko

To this day, I'm dumbfounded as to why some people hate it.
