Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not.
Thanks a bunches.

Explain your opinion in great detail.

When people hear your name are there any stereotypes about it? The moment people hear your name people assume that your name makes you who you are.

My Turn/Example:

Qualeshia-

When most people hear my name they assume I'm some everyday black chick from the hood. My name is no different from any other ghetto name you'll see. They just assume I'm just your every black girl with a hood mentality. I don't even act like most of the ghetto chicks and so no point in that. Yet if I don't behave that way I get look down on for "acting white" when it's not the case. I, at one point hated my name but now I don't even care about that. I like the uniqueness it brings and I like being different. I'm nothing like those girl in my hometown and will NEVER be. I'm too good for that. Most of the time once I tell someone my name that think it's pretty and unique or just different.

One thing I will admit about my name is that it means "Beloved Friend" which I like.I guess that is the only positive aspect I like about it along with it sounding pretty. The negative aspect is the racial part which I strongly dislike.

I am my name and yet I am not!

People just assume that me being Zach, I should be called Zachary, or Zacharios/ias(?)

Zachary is my birth name though, so they aren't wrong.

About it though.

Contrary to popular belief, it's actually a real name.

so instead of standing on your own, you branched out to stand on top of someone else? maybe you're still trying to fit in only to a different audience. other people shouldn't bother you.

LOVE the Thread, Qualeshia! Meh, I'm Justin.

They probably expect I'm some white kid, lower class underachiever Drug addict from the 'Burbs. Well I'm white...sorta. Romanichal-American actually. And they may have been correct about about Me being an underachiever...At least in High School. Yeah, We were middle Class when I was Younger, but upon receiving My Land, House and monetary goods from My Grandmother as the Beneficiary of Her Will, not only did I receive My OWN place, but My Parents were able to build another place. I am now getting ready to begin Psychiatric Residency at the University of Kentucky; in High School I was written off by Teachers and other Students and Faculty that I would never make anything of My Life. Thanks to My Drug Use when I was Younger, in a way I don't blame them. But I had, from a VERY early Age the desire to be a Doctor. And there was absolutely nothing that was going to stand in My way. I'm now going on 6 Years sober. I sometimes still feel like going back to My old High School though however, and kinda giving them a piece of My mind; "Look where I am now after having been written off by all of You"...I'm sure You know what I mean. As far as My name goes -

Justin means: "Just. Upright. Enlightened."
I'll take that. I may not have once upon a time been deserving of what My name meant, but now..

...I AM My name! And My name, is ME! I'm Justin. It's nice to meet You, fellow Crunchies.
