I was at a Tokyo Game Show many years ago. These creepy guys were really into it. Trying to get panty shots of the booth babes. Each girl had like 5-6 guys taking pictures.

My buddy dared me to purposely bumped into one guy. I did and knocked him over while he was crouching down trying to get a shot. He got up and yelled at me in Japanese. I was such an asshole and played it off like it wasn't me. We had a good laugh about it.

But yeah, some of you girls wear some pretty revealing stuff so I ain't gonna lie, I look. No creepy stare but I look.

I hate the beginning posts. Such people such as those forumers should be executed. I mean, really? People are always going to be assholes, and one is not going to change many of them. This doesn't form the excuse for passiveness or indifference.

That being said, looking out of lust is natural, but I suppose many of us do possess the capabilities to avoid outright staring for long periods of time.

I think that most convention attendees are decent enough to agree that its wrong to grope, cat call or otherwise harass a cosplayer. There are people out there though that for some reason, don't see the wrong in it and engage in this behavior. To these people I say that conventions are no place for you.

However, lets be real in that any hetero male from the age of puberty to death is going to notice a half naked women standing in front of him. To deny that common sense is just daft. So I apologize in advance if I take more than one look at you but I promise I'm doing so because (A) your cosplay is awesome and (B) you look awesome in it.

Looking, IMO, is okay. I mean, honestly, you dressed up to be looked at right? (Though there is looking and then there is full on creep leering while making faces. That isn't okay.)

Anything further than looking like touching, catcalling, making lewid comments, ect, is a big freaking no no. I don't see why this even is such a big debate? Why are we obsessed as a culture in defending the perpetrators? "She's (or he's) asking for it" isn't an excuse.

Sorry Ladies if you dress like this.

or this

I'm going to look as many other will. It's in my nature as a male to check out a female, granted I'm not going to stick a camera up your ass or stare and say sexual inappropriate comments. But I have seen women who feel that only men/women who they feel are sexually attractive should be allowed to look at them and no one else should. I don't even classify as a creepy male, so are we going start picking and choosing who gets to go into Comic Con by the way a person looks? Oh well this is a fight that will never have a resolution.

I mean obviously the line is in stalking and groping. I take stares as a compliment personally but if some stranger asked for a picture and started groping me I'd be grossed out too. With that said you can't stop chemicals from filling the brain... Just ask that people be in control of their actions. Leave them alone and enjoy the con.
