I know how popular loli characters are, but what about the male version, shouta? Is there a huge market for them? How many fangirls are into little boy-ish characters, I wonder? Can they be as cute as little girl-ish characters? Post any favorite shouta characters if you have some.

I like Gon from HxH and Conan from Detective Conan, but just as characters due to how entertaining and clever their personalities are. As far as attraction to them to the point of buying hugging pillows and reading romance fanfics about them concerning fandom, absolutely 0% for me, heck, make it -500000%. Same goes for lolis.

There is already Gon and Killua hug pillows.

There is also Hisoka hug pillow lulz.

Yeah, because we like sexualized characters that look and act like little prepubescent girls and boys (even if they aren't!)

'Cause that is like, normal and stuff, with like, no underlying meaning or anything like that.

Right Japan?

Her new one is better than the sun glasses one.

@Topic
I barely see shoutas in anime as it is and I definitely have ZERO interest in them. I don't care much for lolis either, but I only like them because some times they can look and act cute (Black Bullet). But that's as far as it goes. No sexualization of any 10 year old please!

In shows like Black Bullet, I thought they handled the lolis very well.

ive seen 3 shota in anime/manga so far, tho one was 12 year old and acted/looked like it, so i guess that makes two, really.
