Mekakucity Actors. Thing is, though, I know it's bad, and all of it's hate is completely justified. I just liked it because I liked it.

I'm with you there. I guess I just love Shaft too much :3

School Days lol. Guess I liked how it was a deconstruction of your typical romance comedy harem anime.

Hmm, I'm at risk of repeating my answer to the other question here.

I can't really think of any but then maybe I just tend to ignore "hate" and assume that for every loud "hater" there's a quiet... "liker"?

I think some people do seem to be more likely to notice "hate" and assume that it's common despite there being plenty of positive discussion about a show. I suppose people also feel more compelled to respond to what they disagree with, which kind of makes sense.

I do like cute girls doing cute things shows, slice of life shows, "moe" characters, lolis, harem, ecchi and so on. I expect there are some in those genres that would count but I don't take much notice. I like all sorts of things really.

I guess I'll say "Living for the Day After Tomorrow", since maybe some people will watch it and talk about it (possibly with hate) if I mention it (okay that's a long shot).

Guilty Crown. I really liked that show, it was a fun ride. And it had some beautiful characters designs, great music, and a few unexpected twists. But there is a very vocal, and large group of anime fans that hate it. They act as if it's the worst thing to have happened to anime ever. It may not be the best show ever, but it is certainly not the worst.

I'll have to say Fullmetal Alchemist(2003). A lot of people still like it but oh boy do a lot of people hate it too which is something that I never got why. IMO it's just as good as it's Brotherhood counterpart and I'd recommend anyone to watch both versions as they are what I would consider as masterpieces.

Second this.
I actually liked the 2003 anime better than Brotherhood, partially because I liked that universes rules better (how alchemy, humonculi, etc. worked) and I just cared a lot more about the characters in that show. Scenes that were sort of sad in the manga/brotherhood were utterly depressing in the 2003 anime.
Welp, I could talk about that show forever...

Well, about FMA, both incarnations are masterpieces. It's just that Brotherhood is on an entirely different level of greatness, one that will never be surpassed by anything in my view of things. Anyway, there are a few shows that fit the bill for me. While I don't find those shows anything close to elite status, they are nowhere near the garbage everybody else is making it to be in my perspective.

Chronicles of the Going Home Club - This show is pretty much all about the comedy, and it's really funny. Nothing else matters in this show as the laughs are why I enjoyed this show even if it was devoid of anything else.

Galilei Donna - While I understand why many others despise this show with such a shallow plot, I didn't find the show as bad as everybody else makes it out to be. I enjoyed the characters and the artwork, and the story is pretty decent, though it's execution is why I am not a fan of Yasuomi Umetsu. That is why I want a remake of this show seeing how a more competent writer would really bring out this show.

Guilty Crown - The artwork is some of the best I have watched in all of anime. The story was pretty solid even if it had some rough spots along the way. I think that having only 22 episodes to work with a show that was probably designed with 24 in mind is what made this show so problematic.

Irregular at Magic High School - Much like with Guilty Crown, the artistic stuff is why I am enjoying this show more than maybe I should. The story has been slow, but then again I have a lot more patience than many others do. The supporting cast is really what stands out for me in this show.

Samurai Flamenco - The show's quality varies by episode, but I enjoy this show for the insane amounts of WTF moments.

Valvrave the Liberator - Most of the problems for this show comes from a badly-constructed first half, but once the second half rolls around, that's when this show really delivers. I was very much into this show from the beginning, and its unpredictable nature had me hooked.

There are more shows, but those are the ones off the top of my head.
