The forum title speaks for itself. What food do you want to try, that isn't available in your country?

Well for me, that's quite a tough choice considering that just about everything imaginable can be had here in the USA. But of the few things I can think of that's either unavailable or needs to be flow over from overseas, pretty much that would be sushi with wasabi. The real stuff, not the powdered replacement that is served at Japanese restaurants outside of Japan. It's quite expensive given that it can only grow in a few places in the world, but oh so amazing.

Are we counting drink as well? I've been the states a few times and love Mountain Dew, especially Code Red. Unfortunately EU laws ban Brominated vegetable oil so you can only import the green and red godlike nectar. There is however a version produced in the UK known as Mountain Dew: Energy, it's ok but is insanely high in sugar/caffeine and doesn't taste anywhere near the original.

As for foods, I did enjoy twinkies but they would not be my one choice if I had to choose one. (Plus they are really unhealthy). Redvines are very good as well and you have to import them (Yup I am a Redvines guy, Twizzlers suck ... come at me bro)

Good Asian cuisine might be one I'd choose. It's so hard to find good Asian food in the UK (primarily Chinese and Japanese cuisine). Most Chinese cuisine is at takeaways and buffets, what they serve is essentially slop.

If I had to choose one specific food item though it would probably be either Dim Sum or Sashimi.

I'm pretty sure every food is available in my country. It's just a matter of finding where you could buy it. Or maybe how to cook it (?) If anything, I'd like to try authentic Canadian poutine.

The paste you get a restaurants here ion the US is what is typically used in Japan as well, but the fresh stuff can be had in the US although availability is spotty. I've been able to get it in Colorado from time to time.

What I haven't been able to get is something I used to get on Okinawa all the time. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what it is. I was told it was sea slug, but that seems to be an overly vague description.
