Definitely Attack on Titan considering the art style in the manga was quite amateurish then~ I also think Hunter x Hunter anime is better in the anime in the sense that there are actually more suspense and thrills building up in comparison. I'm usually very picky about manga to anime adaption since i am a manga person so there are very few that actually impresses me.

The manga is good i just think the anime is better. The characters and action were faithful to the manga. Only exception was roberta's blood trail i thought that was better in the manga.

I think all of Kyoto Animation's 4Koma adaptations so far have been great, including K-On, Lucky Star and Nichijou...

Now, now, hear me out.

It takes a certain kind of skill and technique to make something mundane into something awesome. FMA, AoT and HxH are already excellent stories with excellent detail and excellent writing. You only need to not screw up production, and you're good to go. Worst-case scenario, you'll end up with another Soul Eater, which isn't a bad thing at all.

Reading those 3 manga I mentioned above, they're not really that special; it's mostly low-calorie slice of life material. But under KyoAni's care, they become something impressive. The timing of the jokes, the quality of the visuals, and the quality of the script is pretty good, and a lot of the good scenes were made better (did you know that Sawako's costume in K-On was an anime original?). It's like a chef making the best dang macaroni and cheese bowl you've ever tasted. Or the best burger you ever had.

For some arks the One Piece anime surpassed the manga. However, post two-year skip has been terrible lately; animation and story direction wise.

Well as i said the anime was pretty faithful to the manga so i'd rather see it in motion than reading it. As for the roberta's blood trail exception I didn't like the stuff they added at the end.

Maybe I am speaking too soon, but Tokyo Ghoul is a little rushed, it would be better if it followed the manga but still a pretty good anime though

Ga Rei Zero since it acted as a prequel.

OK, I respect that. I just think anime is little depressing for the action series and that is why I consider manga as superior. And for Roberta's Blood trail ending, I consider it big slap across the face for a Black Lagoon fans! At least it is for me. There was no reason to do that.

Hunterxhunter 2011. I love the manga but sometimes... Also the fight scenes are s o juicy in the 2011 and so many emotions!

Why do you say that?

Forgot to reply to this, sorry.

I really felt that anime was definitely the superior medium for the story, by a lot. The manga's great, but the anime is just god-tier.

I would say Nadesico was better as an anime than the original manga. At least if you set aside the movie, which was depressing as hell.

Minami-ke S1 was excellent. Too bad the studio that took over for S2 and later was terrible. S2 especially is considered "What Season2? I don't remember a Season2." amongst fans.

Raildex universe is better animated IMHO, although there is sizable filler in Railgun. Being animated at least cuts down on the wordswordswords, but S1 of Index is still very wordy.

There are a couple older ones I want to say, but just can't quite remember. You always remember at the time that "hey, this really improves on the manga for it" but don't necessarily remember which series it was exactly later.

I my self don't read too many manga, but I have to say for newer anime wise, I read akara ga kiri, and then I been watching Akame ga kill, the anime really does it justice, the animation awesome and the sound track and music awesome, another anime which I think makes the original better, would be Kurko's Basketball, the manga is good, but I think seeing it be animated, the intense music, the emotion, makes it much better. I have some I am hoping make it better then manga that coming up this year, but we will wait and see, I my self haven't finished reading hunter x hunter manga up to date, debating if i should or not, just so can be surprised in story, but so far, 2011 much better then manga so far
