Yup, but only when I study. The pain helps me concentrate.

Nope, I'm not enough of a masochist to be able to tolerate it for more than a minute and change.
It feels like my thighs are going to split open like over-cooked sausages, and my feet are going to pop off my ankles.

It's just being on your knees and then lean back.

Let's see, the longest I was able to go (without temporarily sitting up a little) is around 4-5 minutes. With shifting around I think I might be able to last around 8-9 min.

I can say though, posture can make all of the difference on this position. If you have bad posture it can be quite uncomfortable, with good posture it can actually be relaxing (until you start to stiffen up). Stretching out your legs before sitting in seiza definitely helps though. ^_^

Yes. I find it to be one of the most comfortable ways to sit.

I went to a restaurant near a shine while I was in Tokyo and there were no visible chairs or booths there so I sat in seiza. There were small pits around the tables where I supposed you could have put your legs but I thought they were for baggage. I don't see what's so hard about the seiza position.

Nope, but I actually often sit with my legs crossed, even if in a chair and people often wonder how I can sit like that for so long
