Knowledge isn't bad. It's how you use it.

Knowledge is probably good in theory. But in practice... we have a certain thirst for knowledge, and a desire to test it and use it. And in practice, things go too far. We'll probably be enslaved by machines if we don't destroy the environment beforehand. All that gloom and doom aside, I'm glad I know how to cook and make tea... I think I'll do just that.

It's not the knowledge that's either good or bad, it's what you do with said knowledge. With the book, you could know a million and one ways to efficiently kill a person but if you don't put those methods to use, it's hardly bad, is it? They'll just be words and ideas floating around in your head, completely harmless unless you personally act upon them.

What is NSA watch list?

It's when the National Security Agency keeps tabs on you for knowing too much.

Dave is a rather nice man. I feel bad that he's having marital issues, but what can you do?

It's because the more power you have the better of you are.

All knowledge to a certain extent could be dangerous, depending who possesses it. For example, it would probably be a bad idea to give a convicted serial killer a book that describes how to make the perfect jailbreak. However, this does not mean we should destroy said knowledge and info, but rather learn from it ourselves, and make sure it does not fall into the wrong hands.
