You're the only one.

People who play it or who listen to it?

I enjoy Alcest and A Sunny Day in Glasgow. Of course, MBV is a given as well.

I miss the great shoegazer bands of the 90's, especially Lush.

Not the only one, dude. Got to see the reunion performance of Slowdive at P4K 2 weeks ago. Awesome set. That and post-punk are probably my favorite sounds in rock music

How did this get here

Loveless is good. I'm told it's the epitome of shoegaze, so since I think it's just OK I never really dug deeper. It just sounds SO 90s. Soooooo 90s, and dated. I guess A Place To Bury Strangers is okay, too. Haha, I guess I have no strong feelings either way. I just like the sea sick wall of distortion sound.

Sorry this was a useless post, ha.

You're not alone. My favorites are MBV, Slowdive, Ride and Galaxy 500 (i guess it can be considered shoegazing). Slowdive performed here in Portugal, I got really excited, unfortunately couldn't go :c

Unfortunately for shoegaze, in the same time, grunge and britpop were so hyped that shoegaze kinda was forgotten! Still one of the most original sub genres. Or you like it or you hate it.

Good to know I'm not the only one.

Either.

Alcest is great. "Beings of Light" is my favorite by them. Haven't ever checked out A Sunny Day in Glasgow.

Lush's first two albums are great.

Yeah, the Slowdive reunion made some pretty big waves recently. I would have loved to see Deafheaven perform at that festival.

Nice find!

I listen to a little bit here and there, not as much as I used to. Loveless is a great album though and I like a bunch of modern shoegaze like Ceremony and Crystal Stilts.

Also got to see half of Deafheaven's set as well (I tried to catch them in their entirety but the line quing was ridiculous). There is that huge influence of shoegaze on their music and it goes well with metal
