Have you ever felt that there are some manga series that won't get an anime adaptation?

Explain your own personal opinion in great detail. List the full name of the manga if you can.

These are the completed manga series that have yet to get an anime adaptation. Forget about a possible anime adaptation happening with this manga. For some manga series out there, getting an anime adaptation just won't happen. Ever wonder why? Do you still think there is a possible chance of it getting an anime adaptation?

Bonus Questions:

1) Ever felt like a manga was too good to even become an anime series?

Note: The manga hasn't become an anime yet.

2) Do you know of a manga that needed to get updated for a new chapters but never did?

Note: It left off on a cliffhanger in one of the chapters, since then not a single new chapter has been updated. That was years ago when it happened and nothing change since. The manga didn't end but just stopped when it still needed more chapters.

Enjoy!!!

Haha I doubt Umi no Misaki will ever become an anime, not surprised though. Too much sex/nudity which was actually important to the plot... err well not sure if important is the right word but it definitely occurred in a lot of chapters. Enjoyed the story since I hate open ended harem series but not going to be waiting for it to be animated.

For bonus question 2, that's clearly Highschool of the Dead.

In that case I think the answer is there's not ENOUGH sex unless they cut out the first 1/3 of the series. Not that I'd ever underestimate what they can do with hentai

yup, like most of the unique shoujo T_T only ones that get animated are those that follow basic shoujo formulas.

well there are some exceptions. But most of what I read -- shounen & shoujo -- has no chance :/

Dorohedoro: it can be dark and gory then combine that with the fact that it features a cast of around 8 (most likely more than that) characters which are all treated like protagonists (until their time is up).

Ketchup Ninja: The entire premise is a Japanese girl (who is a ninja) moves to America and has to go an American high school in New Jersey.

LasbossxHero: The manga is a meta as hell story about mangas and tropes that are often used. The only way I could see it work in anime would be if they stayed faithful or make it about an anime instead of a manga.

Underdog: its fucked up, but if you want an example than I'll put it behind a spoiler box. About a kind survival game where the winner gets an (if I remember it right) infinite amount of money and will be allowed to do whatever they want. EDIT: just double checked the reward is World Domination.

If you really want an anime adaptation of your favorite manga just send it my way... Every manga I read lately is getting an anime adaptation. Now off to a more serious note, YES. Of the several(I think I'm getting close to 300..) complete manga I've read there are PLENTY that need adaptation. On the flip side, there are many I wish never get made into anime. I don't care that much though since I don't really watch that much anime, I stick to manga.

Alive: The Final Evolution was supposed to get an anime adaptation but was cancelled. I don't think it will ever get one now

I would have loved to have seen an anime adaption of GirlFriends but Yuri titles don't get that many anime adaption and since the manga has been over for a while now I doubt an anime studio would do it now, it's a shame as it's one of the best Yuri titles ever in my opinion
