Have you ever felt that there are some manga series that won't get an anime adaptation?

Otoyomegatari probably will never get an anime, but I actually don't think there would be much of a point. It's just so great.

There are a lot of great manga that will never get adapted to anime simply because their audience is the wrong demographic.

And then there is stuff like Adekan which has such crazy art that adaptation would be kind of difficult.

I think the most difficult situation is manga which have partial anime adaptations. I guess a good example is Fruits Basket. The rest of that manga will probably never be adapted because of the anime.

I HATE the fact the Manhwa (korean manga) will never get an anime adaption. Manhwa like Tower of God, The Breaker, God of high school and Nobless Just imagine those titles as anime!

I can't help but to wonder why Manhwa won't get adapted into anime.

Psyren. I loved the manga but sadly it was not popular in Japan. So almost no chance of getting an anime adaptation.

Does Freezing count? That is basically a Manhwa. I mean it was published as a manga in Japan, but it was made by 2 Korean guys, so in spirit it's a Manhwa.

All anime is created by japanese companies and freezing is a japanese manga made by 2 korean guys. Unless there are some korean companies that want to start making anime, there won't be an anime adaption of manhwa.

Well, some really obscure stuff, or stuff that got axed will never get adapted imo. Or at least for the obscure stuff, it won't be adapted for a long time. I mean, look at Parasyte. According to the wiki it came out in 1990s and it's just getting an anime now. I'd like to see an anime of Koisome Momiji, I thought that manga was amazing despite it's short run, the ending was awesome!

I have heard around the internet of a few series that wouldn't work as an anime, or just wouldn't be right being adapted such as Vagabond. I haven't read past vol 1 of the Viz big, but I can sort of see where they're coming from. Though I'd still like to see it get an anime someday, or perhaps an anime movie.

I wonder why some shows were to become an anime series but never got the chance.

I don't just feel, I know and Osamu Tezuka's murder mystery series Pluto for example never got to be adapted at all. Claymore, Berserk and Akira never got the adaptations they deserved by the fans.

1.) Dorohedoro
2.) Lucifer & Biscuit Hammer
3.) 20th Century Boys
4.) Ultra Heaven
5.) Biomega

There's a few more, though these are a couple that pop into my head.
