Synopsis

This movie project will be based off the work of the late Japanese sci-fi novelist, Project Itoh (real name: Satoshi Itou). On March 20, 2009, he passed away after suffering from cancer at 34 years old.

The official website specifically mentions two of Project Itoh's novels, Gyakusatsu Kikan (Genocidal Organ) and Harmony, but does not specify if both will be adapted. Gyakusatsu Kikan is Itoh's debut novel. It received first place in both the Local Best SF 2007 and Local Zero Era SF Best awards. Conversely, Harmony was his final novel. It received the Best Japanese Novel of the Year award at the 40th Sei-un Awards, was the winner of the 30th Nihon SF Taishou Award, and received first place for Best SF of 2009 award.

Not too much info out yet but this is another project by Noitamina. Damn, I really like that premise though and if it stays with the focus of it, then this could be a sleeper hit.

Update: Project Itoh - Genocidal Organ is to be adapted. Synopsis is written as:

Both premises seem promising/intriguing.More interested in Harmony though, since it kinda reminds me of Shinsekai yori.

Color me excited for both adaptations. Sounds like good old "What if?" type sci-fi, which I think there's a shortage of these days.

This looks like something I really want to watch. That artwork looks pretty familiar, and I am getting vibes from a certain other show with this.

Wait, so I am a little confused.... Does this mean it is one movie from two perspectives or two distinctly different movies?

Two different movies based on the novels written by the same author to be adapted.
