They're both currently airing right now, but... Samurai Jam and M3: The Dark Metal.

For Samurai Jam, it's not that it confuses me, really... I just honestly don't understand why certain things happen. Like in the most recent episode,
hahaha I guess the ridiculousness of it all just baffles me. I think the music is what gets me though. Sometimes I feel like I'm on the brink of dropping it, but then a song plays and I'm totally into it. I wouldn't necessarily say I "love" it, but I'm definitely enjoying myself.

For M3, I've been confused from the get-go. The anime HAS explained a lot in the current 15 episodes that have aired, but there's still so much of the background story that's missing and I spend a lot of my time watching that anime wondering what the hell is going on. BUT, I dig it. Maybe it's the dark ambiance of it all, but I'm really enjoying it. Hopefully I'll come to understand what's happening in the last 9 episodes...

I agree with everyone who's said Serial Experiments Lain, that show is like a Rubik's Cube that functions in more than three dimensions. I'd also add Angel's Egg by Mamoru Oshii which is a beautifully constructed puzzle film:

How do I do that though?

It's in the quote:

If you put several header tags inside each other it'll also give you a thicker line as well.

for stories, I can't ever enjoy something I can't understand.
for songs though, I can enjoy something if I don't understand the language. as music is a universal language.

_____

Bonus questions:

1. flowers of evil is probably the most thought provoking anime I've seen...

2. boku no pico?

Alright, im gonna help you out here. Gintama is the Seinfeld on the anime world. Its pretty much a show about nothing so theres really nothing to understand.SAO, if youre a MMO player its easier to understand. And ive never watched Hamatora so I cant help ya out on that one.

When I was younger I watched Utena, and I literally had no clue what was going on the entire time. I think I was like, 12? lol, even though I am now 22, I have yet to watch it again. I don't know if it'll even make sense to me now as an "adult" haha

I'd say that parts of Henneko: The 'Hentai' Prince and the Stoney Cat were a bit baffling, but it was enjoyable to see them play out...

Completely agree, impossible to follow story, but I guess the characters somewhat make up for it.

Madoka Magicka gets kind of confusing, especially once you get into the Rebellion movie. I had to go visit a few wikis to help me understand all the different timelines .

Paprika is an older movie (2006). I've probably mentioned it somewhere before, but since I'm not a memorable person, I figure it's worth mentioning again. It's a total mind-screw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU4R53zyvv4
