At this point I haven't seen any confirmation they have licensed it for home video, but that doesn't mean they won't at a later date (or that they already have, but it simply hasn't been publicized).

I doubt you have anything to worry about. Note this from an interview ANN did with Funimation's Social Media Manager:

And not only that, but what you may not know is that Kamisama Kiss was our number one simulcast for the fall 2012 season. It broke all previous simulcast records up to that time, and for us, simulcast numbers are our best indicator for a show's popularity and so we use that to determine what kind of release something should get.

The second series would have to perform badly for them not to license it for home video.

Episode 1

So much for a peaceful day when Tomoe is kicking Nanami around for doing a sloppy job writing talismans, while some guy who has some history with Tomoe has shown up. In the meantime, Nanami has a baby monkey as a shikigami given to her by Otohiko as she heads off to Izumo, but she's not exactly ready for it being protected all the time. As for that monkey, his name is Mamoru and with the two running around, the miasma is purified. And so, this season picks up right where the last one leaves off nicely starting with craziness and then getting down to the business of being a god. It will be interesting to see just how Nanami handles her trip to Izumo.

I see the episode out now. Wow, did Funimation leak this again? This is at least 2 hours before the actual Japanese broadcast.

Last Season was Shingeki no Bahamu no Genesis for the pilot episode. Gotta admit though, this was pretty cute and the OP song was brilliant imo.

What an adorable end

Definitely a nice way to start off from where season 1 is indeed. Great usage of characters and building the connections as well. Imo, that's pretty important for the transition.

FansubDB has the Funimation simulcast listed as "(1 hour early)", but it appears they beat even that.

The listed premiere time in Japan was "01/05 26:05", while the current time in Japan as I type this is 2:46 AM on the 6th (01/05 26:46).

Funimation's listed simulcast time is 9:00 AM EST, so if they stuck that, they beat the premiere in Japan by a good margin. (The premiere in Japan would occur at 12:05 PM EST).

I know Space Dandy's broadcast time was earlier than the first air time in Japan, but I can't recall if the simulcast was. If so, it could be that Funimation convinced the publisher to let them simulcast it earlier, rather than it being a TAN/To Love-ru: Darkness type of error.

I liked the 1st season! The 2nd season is off to a god start with one hiccup. The Nanami / Tomoe relationship is pretty intense!

Mikage is going to be important!

The hiccup is the abduction scene of Nanami. Some people are going to be upset with that!

Even I frowned on that ! It could have been potrayed differently.

The Shikigami was cool . I liked how he tried to fight Tomoe but in the end he saved him!

Now they are goig to go to the big meeting

Oh yea Nanami calling Otohiko Girl Guy God XD

I heard about this but I still can't believe it. I love the manga and bought the anime without watching it - and of course loved it! I was so upset they didn't go further with the story but now we're going to see more!

I still break out into a smile whenever I think about this.

And just like that, I love Mondays again!! The pacing was a bit fast, but no faster that the S1 premiere and I know they're just excited to get to the good stuff ^^

I love both the OP and ED themes, they're an interesting improvement from S1. The OP has more energy, more plot-relevant imagery (which I like a bit of for estimating how far the season will go) and more silliness (couldn't help but laugh at all the dancing XD) while the ED had more feels- oh lil' Nanami TT.TT

Very excited for next week!
