Hey they do have like, err... a few titles that aren't too bad. It could be a lot worse

It isn't unusual for original anime to have a manga (and both these series did), but in these cases, the manga were adapted from the anime, not the other way around.

If you see manga of the same title, it is always best to check the publication date vs. when the series premiered.

Ah, I see.

I disagree as a lot of those big manga getting adaptions into anime provide much needed revenue to studio so they can try experimental new original series. Studio want to make profits from there series and sometime generic series that already have a following give them that. I'm happy for more manga adaptions if it means we can get every now and then good oringal series like Madoka and Anohana

Both have manga adaptions but they are based on the anime series and not the other way around

Interesting. I believe KLK has the same thing.

Am I the only one to not read ANY manga outside Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku? And I gave up on them after a few volumes when I realized HOW much there was of each?

I also just started Genocyber (1994), I like it so far and they had some very skilled animators on staff. My shortlist of things to look for after this is currently MD Geist (1996), Cyber City Oedo 808 (1990-91), and Angel Cop (1989-94).

Strangely enough, I own all three of those, though I thought MD Geist and Cyber City were both quite a bit older than that. (Perhaps I am the Anti-Insomnist, after all?)

That being said: Am I the only one who thinks all of the above should be a valid option for every harem anime? (I know I'm not, but it bears repeating.)

No, but then again most people feel that way because they want the rest of the girls not to end up lonely.

Just had a thought (always dangerous that is; thinking): Am I the only one that associates show names with colours? For example to me The Irregular At Magic High is always green.
