Another complaint about Bleach and fillers, seriously? DO people even know what fillers even are nowadays?

Only if a studio makes them right. People said that one of the set of fillers during Naruto's Great Ninja War arc is worth watching.

I was coming in to mention this, so funny that it's on the most recent page. I might not be on the same page as those people, they might be talking about a different set of fillers completely. But for me, the Kakashi arc from episodes 349 to 361 are really good. They show his journey through the ANBU as he grows up into an adult, and it fits nicely enough into canon.

With Bleach, I was always waiting for a Pendulum-like filler arc, where the episodes are all about the earlier days of some of the Shinigami. I might have watched and enjoyed that a bit.

Sometimes like when it helps develop a character more. It can do this by adding more insight to a character's history and relationships with the other characters.

I think it really depends on what the fillers are about/targeted towards, if its just random stuff that really play no importance then no. But say they're more about specific events related to a specific character, or a much deeper back story of such of a character, then im all for it. Having a deeper understanding of why a character might be a certain way is very nice and worth the filler.
