---The King's Banquet---

Aldaris gave the princess a bright smile while his eyes subtly turned to Bo Zhi. It appears he has said his piece to the princess, it was unfortunate for he had not heard what it was. He then regarded the princess before taking her hand and brushing his lips on her knuckle, "Princess Vivienne Diana Swan, a beautiful name for the fairest maiden of the kingdom."

He could feel his spirits thrum with power. It is indeed true that the princess employs a spirit of her own. This is truly an intriguing day for him. "Since this goddess of beauty has given her name to a mortal like me, I too must share mine. My name is Aldaris Za'firo Multhaz al-Kehth, Merchant-Lord of A'ras Kehth; but you may call me Aldaris, since my name is a mouthful, my enchanting goddess."

Miranda took her hand, "Not at all. We were just finished actually. I'm Miranda," she greeted the militia member, taking in her appearance. She was grateful towards the woman. If it weren't for her, then she would've been pulled over to that ominous man, which she wanted to avoid at all cost. She didn't know if Mauricio was oberservant or just plain oblivious, but she felt no desire to continue her conversation with him, realizing she'd give herself up if they did. Perhaps now she'd take the opportunity to slip through and find a dark corner to hide herself in so that nobody would even realize her presence. No, she thought. It was to late for that.

*As Lord Aldaris continued to talk to young Princess Vivienne, Bo Zhi became annoyed with him. "Oh, how I could I paint the dance floor red with your wretched blood", Bo thought. He would if his plans allowed him too, but any fun acts of death would just alert everyone of him. Killing Lord Aldaris would have to wait. As for what Princess Vivienne said, he finally got the answers he needed. Indeed, her mana abilities allowed her to see the Supernatural. Perhaps, she could even control spirits with the proper training. Lord Aldaris continued to talk, Bo began to get really mad with him. At that moment, Bo released his frightening, malefic aura while smirking at Princess Vivienne. The aura reveled his murderess intent for the Lord, as well as his own chaotic nature. The aura was released for about a second. Anyone feeling this aura would feel intense sense of nervousness. He began to slowly let go of the Princesses hand and body.*

I must make my leave young Princess, obviously Aldaris is only looking to add to his harem of women. Don't worry, We'll talk again later.
*He winked at her as he took his slim cane back from the guard.*

*As Mauricio watched the ladies interact, he felt the malefic aura fill the room. He quickly drew his broadsword out of instinct. He looked around the ball room, watching some of the guests crying from the evil feeling. But nothing bad happened? No one was getting killed, usually, someone is getting killed when such a evil aura fills the room.*

I'm sorry ladies.

*He put his sword away*

PRINCESS VIVIENNE

Vivienne nodded. "Pleasure to meet you, Aldaris." She said, feeling a growing tension rising like heat beside her from Bo Zhi's body, his spirit. She turned to him, a hand outreached as to stop the guard from handing him the cane. "Our dance was not finished." She said calmly, looking at him intently. Turning just her head back towards Lord Aldaris, she flipped her dark hair over her shoulder with the flick of a dainty wrist and dark blue nails, saying "I will not be added to anything alike. Though, I'm sure that was not your intent. Correct?" Her icy eyes turned back at Bo Zhi and the guard. "And if it were, i'm sure the King would be disappointed to hear of such an agenda. I'm nobody's trophy. I want to dance." She said sternly. This banquet would go on for a long time, and she wasn't going to let this opportunity slip away.

*Bo gave the guard a tip for his troubles and then turned to face the Princess.*

I meant no disrespect towards you Princess Vivienne. It's only, and correct me if I'm wrong, a great offense to interrupt a lady in the middle of her dance, especially one of royalty? I would have no punishment for drawing my blade on him for this offense.

*The guard holding the cane spoke up.*

I believe Sir Bo Zhi is in the right. Lord Aldaris, you should've waited to speak to your highness after she was done with the dance. The fact that Sir Bo Zhi held restraint for wanting to cut you down shows he has great respect for our King. Bo Zhi, you have earned my respect.

○ cataleya scarlette

Feeling another slight relief, Cataleya smiled at Miranda, "I'm glad I hadn't, Miranda. How do you like it here so far? Are you from out of town?" She asked her, wanting to get to know her a little more so she could at least keep a small profile of her so the next time that she met her, she wouldn't be surprised or forget. However, before Mauricio could say a word to her, she felt a frightening sensation in the air, something that came as quick as it appeared, an aura full of malice, yet she also felt nervousness. Soon enough, from her left ear she heard a sword sheath quickly. Her eyes scanned the room, looking for the source of power, and soon her eyes went and landed on the "Man" the Princess and Lord Aldaris was with. Her eyes narrowed at them once more as she looked between Lord Aldaris and the "Man", looking as if they were fighting over the Princess' hand, however, she felt as if it wasn't the case.

Shaking her head, Cataleya placed a gently hand on Mauricio's hand that was on the hilt of his sword. "There's no need for apologies. . you felt it, didn't you? Left as quick as it appeared." She mused out-loud before she saw that the Princess had actually wanted to keep the Man's company at her side rather than Lord Aldaris. If the intent did come from the Man and she was the closest one there, Cataleya was positive that Princess Vivienne would know of his mana and intent then. However, she didn't call an S.O.S. and she seemed just as interested in him as the Man was in her. Could she leave them alone after what had happened? Or allow things to play out? Maybe after the dance. Shaking her head, Cataleya realized she still had her hand on Mauricio's and quickly removed her hand away. But, hearing the crowd's fearful cry from the ill-intent aura, Cataleya's brows furrowed. "Perhaps we should calm the crowd for now." She stated as she started heading towards the civilians, gently placing a hand on their shoulders as she spoke to some of them, trying to calm their fears and nerves. A smile was kept on her face as she went to each other, one by one, letting them know nothing was wrong.

"This place is too dazzling," Miranda chuckled with a lazy smile, glancing around the large room. "I guess you can say I'm a free spirit, not bound to one place." She didn't want to reveal much. After all, they'd probably never see each other again. At least, she hoped they'd never encounter each other. Then a dark aura was released throughout the banquet hall, causing Miranda to put up her guard. How malicious, she thought as her heart began to beat quickly. In all the years she spent roaming the continent, Miranda had never felt anything so frightening, so full of hate. She narrowed her eyes at the armored man who was with Princess Vivienne and lords, knowing it was him who released such a dangerous atmosphere.

She heard Mauricio apologize.

"W-What was that?" She wondered, pretending to be scared as she retreated behind the two soldiers, though they didn't prove to be effective shields as Scarlette walked into the crowd..

---The King's Banquet---

Aldaris narrowed his eyes in annoyance before it turned to an amused and jovial look, 'So, the little merchant wants to play it like that, does he? Well, I can play as well...' With that thought, the air around him grew hot as the scorching desert and the winds slowly roared to life around him. He slowly spread this sensation to let the other know such intimidation tactics are not going to work on him; besides, he felt better men do way worse than this little attempt of intimidation. When he felt a sufficient time has passed, the scorching feeling receded back to his person; his spirits calming down and satisfied in making a statement.

He felt slightly offended at what Bo Zhi implied in his interruption of their dance. He holds a high regard for the Princess plus to be in a harem would need a legal agreement between the men and women involved in this. Both parties had to be willing, without coercion or threats of harm involved, in order to make said harem a reality. It is an open relationship born from consent between parties. "I have no intention of doing such a thing to the honored princess. In the South, it is legal to have one; but, it must be consensual without fear of harm or coercion. A mutual, open, and willing relationship between parties; thus, I hope such a practice from an established society does not offend you, Princess Vivienne? Also, my little merchant friend, this is a party---open to all who can attend it, I might add---so it would be no surprise if people came up to one another even as they are dancing, look around you little merchant; thus, I have not made a single offence. Unless, of course, the lady herself decrees that I have offended." He turns to Princess Vivienne and nodded his head in deference to her judgement.

He couldn't help but smile pleasantly at the situation. It reminded him so much of the past that it wasn't even funny. Like a sense of déjà vu to his waking mind. Aldaris noticed Bo Zhi holding on to a cane, well a cane-sword to be exact, a sign of hostility? Well, it seems he was successful in annoying the little one. He turned to the guard that spoke to him, the one that handed the cane to Bo and said, "Restraint? Honored guard, restraint should also be seen if one flexes their power. I mean, look at some of the citizens shivering or flexing their own power right now," he then gestured to a great number in the hall, "One has to know when a drop or a slab of their aura is enough for a situation such as this; that honored guard is restraint." he finished respectfully.

Really, now some of the guests have fainted or are shivering as if they walked under a torrential rain. He noticed the Militia woman comfort those afflicted and he spotted the Crusader go for his blade before returning it to its sheath. It appears they too have had a hint of suspicion since the beginning. Something is not right and he may have found the source.

PRINCESS VIVIENNE

"Forgive me for being unaware, Aldaris. I'm not calling a guard upon anyone, all I wanted was a dance. Not anymore," Her eyes scanned the afraid and confused. Turning to Bo Zhi, his aura gained terror and fear in a coat of blackness and red, and nobody else could see it, only feel it. Vivienne wasn't afraid, hence why she firstly wanted the dance to continue. "Bo Zhi... you are instilling fear into the guests, and you must bring it to a hault." She said quietly. Folding her arms, she looked to the Militia, before back to Bo Zhi. "I'm no longer interested in this dance, and I must go. If you two wish to go back and forth, you need to do it elsewhere. This isn't very mature, and i'm not impressed. The King wouldn't want his celebration remembered like this. Keep me out of it." She walked between the two, making her way to where the remaining Militia were posted. Feeling embaressed for being caught in some sort of casually spoken banter between a Lord and Merchant, she decided it was best she back out. She took her seat, looking down at her bracelet before up at the civilians and the men and women of the guard. She nodded to a few civilians, too wanting them to know everything was alright.

---The King's Banquet---

"It is alright, Princess Vivienne. Not many know the practices and culture of the South." Aldaris said as he bowed his head to her. When he heard her declaration, he was internally pleased; but his face remained passive. 'My job here is done, for now.' he thought.

This man, this little merchant, holds a dark secret. After feeling that short display, he could confirm that something malevolent and powerful hides deep within his being. Seeing this man walk up to the princess, a monarch of the land, brought out so much red flags inside his mind that he unconsciously acted. Knowing this, he went up to the pair and interrupted them. It all came together when she herself left, thus bringing a good amount of distance from her and the little merchant.

He watched the princess walk away, greeting the guards and some of the civilians along the way. He then turned to Bo Zhi and gave him the friendliest smiles; his happy-go-lucky persona surfacing. "Well my friend, it was a pleasure. But I must be off, there is more to see in this banquet after all." He bowed his head slightly before walking away.

This incident, he needs to confirm it first, if his suspicions are founded. He scanned the room for the Militia woman or the Crusader. His eyes found the form of the Militia woman, comforting a few frightened guests. He quickly made his way to her in hopes of striking a conversation with her; but hidden within would be his inquiry on the matter at hand.

○ cataleya scarlette
As she saw the civilians one by one, comforting them, as much as she could, Cataleya wondered if there was something else she can do, seeing that they were still shaken-ed. Turning her head to look back at Mauricio and Miranda, Cataleya nodded in there direction, giving them an apologetic smile for leaving the conversation so quickly. Where was the King? Perhaps words from him would calm them down, especially since this was his banquet. But, then again, it was always others who had to calm the citizen when he wasn't around. Seeing the children by her, Cataleya cooed at them, hugging them here and there, speaking softly towards them as she spoke of some of the things she saw on her travels. For a short while, some of the civilians crowded around her as well, listening to her story of her adventures with Tano. It was definitely a sight to see such creatures of magnificence and brilliane: the gryphons.

Soon enough, when her story had finished, with slight magic, Cataleya took a flower from the vase, plucking at its petals, and soon enough, used her affinity for air to lift up the petals and twirl it around in a small petal dance. The sight was serene and calming as the civilians began to slowly find ease and comfort in her small display. She felt the tension in the air slightly disappearing as "oohs" and "awws' were heard and everything was turning back to somewhat normal. As the children ran off away from her and some of the older adults went back to chit-chatting, Cataleya breathed a sigh of relief.

However, she noticed Lord Aldaris, Princess Vivienne, and the Man hadn't been on the dance floor anymore, in fact, when Cataleya looked to her side, she saw the Princess sitting down. Seeing that they made sligh eye contact Cataleya bowed her head and gave her a polite smile. Once she greeted her from across the room, Cataleya looked back ahead only to see Lord Aldaris heading her way. Tilting her head slightly in curiosity, Cataleya quickly curtsied as he approached her, "Lord Aldaris Za'firo Multhaz al-Kehth, to what do I owe this pleasure of greeting you?" She spoke politely, keeping her head down until she was told to stand back up. She made sure her greeting was proper enough for the Lord from the South.

---The King's Banquet: Meeting the Warrior---

Seeing the woman before him bow, he gently placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "Rise, honored warrior. You do not need to bow. It is I who should bow for your duty is far greater than mine." he resolutely said with a bow of his head. After that, he got a good look at the woman before him. She was beautifully strong, he could feel the power rolling of her being, he noticed the rise and fall of her even breathing and the quick ripples of her form that reflects her training with the Militias. Overall, she was indeed a warrior worthy of respect.

He had a thought of her skills when she used her magic to entertain the children. It was beautiful and masterfully done. Such manipulation of such a scale was indeed coveted by many; while a great many more would be green with envy at her mastery of her skills. This intrigued him.

After his musing, he slowly took his hand away from her shoulder as she rose up. He softly spoke as he gazed at her, "Before we could start a conversation, may I know the name of the warrior before me?"

Prince Varius saw the commotion between the merchant Bo Zhi, Lord Aldaris and Princess Vivienne while eating his meal...he smirks.."well that went gone well..." he then suddenly suspects the maleficent energy came from that little merchant..Varius thought; "Hmm..and i thought i'm the only one who have a dark malice aura...this is get interesting" he grins evilly..the northern Prince watched Princess Vivienne taking her seat and look at the surrounding courtroom..Prince Varius have a idea..he open up his robe sleeve and take out a magical accessory, he then ask his knight, commander Acteon to give this accessory to Princess Vivienne.."Alright my lord.."

Prince Varius' vassal, commander Acteon goes to Princess Vivienne and bows before her gracefully, "My princess, i come on the behalf of my master, Prince Varius Baralin Strallvania, i had come here to bring you a gift which my prince gladly want you, my princess to accept it..as part of a greeting..." Acteon gives the magical artifact to Princess Vivienne.

The magical artifact is actually a silver-jeweled flower brooch which contains mana properties to it's user whenever used. Acteon continues, "the Prince is an excellent Artificer, he crafts magical accessories as part of his free time and i hope you are pleased to accept it, my princess.." the knight smiles charmingly..

Feeling a slight and gentle touch on her shoulder, Cataleya supressed the urge to slightly jump as she listened to Lord Aldaris' words. Lifting up her head as she gracefully leaned back in a straight posture, Cataleya uncurtsied as she stood up tall, looking up towards him to see him better. It was never respectful to look down when speaking to someone, especially if he was someone important. Smiling politely, Cataleya shook her head, "Lord Aldaris, you're kind and although my duty may seem greater than yours, you are highly respected and honored. You are the Lord of the Southern Province. Your province is the primal region of the trading and commerce. Your business is quite needed in Estal." She said, praising him highly as well as respecting him for his actions earlier during the banquet. If it wasn't for him, she wouldn't know or found more evidence and prove her suspicion of the man that was dancing with Princess Vivienne.

She had observed Lord Aldaris from the moment she stepped into the banquet, the way he presented himself, the way he spoke, and mannerism. He wasn't as arrogant as the other nobles she had met before, however, his attire was quite eye-catching as she looked at the many jewels that were placed around his body. Was it not heavy to carry or walk? Did it not tie him down? Nevertheless, Cataleya gazed at him, giving him her full attention. Blinking at his question, she nodded slightly, "Of course, Lord, Aldaris. I am Scarlette of the Royal Militia. It is an honor, your Lordship, to meet your acquaintance."
