Pest infestations

Since it's hot here, mosquitos?

And I have to worry about mice as well....

BOTH ARE DREADFUL PARASITES THAT CAN CARRY DISEASES.

In the house that my family used to live in, we had roaches and mice. But when we were in that house, I was about four and my mom always tells me that I never noticed. And in another old house, there was a rat that ate an ENTIRE loaf of bread in our house. My grandfather got it out of our house because we were semi-poor at the moment and couldn't afford an exterminator.

Ever hear of Crazy Ants?

Now you have.

Colonies of them reach the millions and they cover everything. For some unknown reason they are attracted to electronics and try to build nests in circuitry, and because of their numbers they short circuit and destroy the device. Phones, computers, household appliances, etc.

Growing up, we always had mice in the attic. They never made it into the rest of the house though, so they were more of an irritation than anything else. Our current apartment is in a basement, so we've had quite a few centipedes, and we had a bit of an ant problem this spring, but setting a bunch of traps seems to have solved it. I have all of my bookbinding stuff here, and a ton of books, so the two infestations I worry about most are moths and mold, but luckily we haven't had issues with either *knocks on wood*

Nah I swing pretty hard so they usually just die. I follow it up with a few more swings and stuff just in case though.

In the house I used to live in growing up, we used to always get scorpions and spiders. Nowadays, it's just the occasional spider.

Well the only 'infestations' I can think of would be having a bee's nest in the attic more than once and I can remember one summer underneath a joint step in our garden there was a massive ants nest with loads of the things coming out of the little gaps in the steps and there ant eggs in, winged ants and everything . We don't really get infestations of anything else. There is the occasional spider that appears, in ranging sizes and in ranging places (One time a big House Spider landed right next to my face while I was in bed and I was scared of spiders for about 2 weeks ). Gnats are the most annoying creature. I've never gotten bitten *touches wood* or had and infestation of them but whenever I'm trying to sleep at night, there is just a high pitched buzzing sound going on, sometimes it comes closer, sometimes it goes further away. I wouldn't mind them if they stopped flying occasionally (and if the female gnats didn't feed on blood ) but they just don't stop flying

We're all forgetting the worst one of all:
When your parents come over.

Well, I never said "pest" was limited to insects, rodents, and similar animals. So I guess deadbeat humans and the like are fair game.

In which case the most annoying pest I've had is other people's children. I don't care if they're family, I don't like kids..

Though mine was said in jest, I'll agree, other people's kids are a, pardon my French, fucking pain in the arse. I also hate kids. Always have.
