I may be a loser but power ballads.

The closest thing Ronnie James Dio ever did to a power ballad was the first minute of "The Last in Line".

Not so sure on that. Some of the stuff on Dream Evil (I Could Have Been a Dreamer, All the Fools Sailed Away), Rock n' Roll Children and Hungry for Heaven from the Vision Quest soundtrack are dang close to Power Ballad territory.

For me my guilty pleasure has to be (Run, Run) The Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun by Julie Brown (the comedienne not the MTV VJ). It's such a goofy song but once you listen to it you can't get it out of your head.

I think it's to the point that "Toxic" from Britney Spears can unashamedly just be called a good song because it is EVERY human being's guilty pleasure. I mean, c'mon, those chords & melody? That's some tasty music, braj mahal.
