Idk if i would say hate, but strongly dislike, are the ones who when you say you don't like an anime that they love, they berate you and go on and on about how its the best, and you don't appreciate a "amazing" anime and that you're not allowed to have an opinion while theres over rules anything you say.

Reboot fanatics.

If they did a little research, they would realize how idiotic their complaints and unlikely their requests are.

Fans who seem more concerned about putting other fans down than they are about enjoying the actual hobby.

none because everyone has the right to like and enjoy whatever anime they want in whichever way they want
some people are more obsessive and can be found irritating but thats as far as it goes
if you wanna hate or even dislike someone as a person because of their anime preferences
then man
you're a shit person

I believe you do make a good point, "everyone has the right to like and enjoy whatever anime they want in whichever way they want" and "have their own anime preferences". Although I have seen and met alot people who hate and/or are bias on specific anime topics and subjects just for the sake of hating, being bias, ignorant and close-minded.

Several types of anime fans annoy me, but the ones that annoy me the most are the ones who complain about the management of the anime industry. They always complain, argue and have something to say whenever there's change or decision made that they don't like. They completely forget anime is an industry and whether you feel it's negative or not, you have to sometimes look through a business perspective.

Also Dub haters, their reasoning for hating dubs is what annoys me not the haters themselves

The most annoying would be the hardcore DBZ fans.

Dubbed sucks.

I try not to waste the energy on hate, but there are a couple of types of fans that get under my skin.

One is the fan who is obsessed with the titles they dislike. They spend far more time and energy talking about shows they dislike and their fans than they do talking about shows they enjoy. It actually angers them that someone likes a show that they don't. They will pop into a discussion just to say how much they hate something. I don't like carrots, but unless somebody is trying to make me eat them, I don't feel the need to tell anyone. I certainly don't search the internet for carrot blogs to tell the carrot lovers that I don't like what they like. That would be weird. I certainly don't insult people who like carrots, that would be insane.

The other is the elitist/hipster fan. There is a lot of crossover between this type and the one I just mentioned, but they are slightly different. These fans believe that it is their responsibility to let people know what's good and what's not. They watch shows they know they won't like so they can complain about them.(who has time for that?) They are prone to long illogical rants about how x is ruining anime. They like to let other people know that if they were as clever as the elitist/hipster, then they would agree with everything that they say.

I do my best to avoid both of these people, but now and then I can't resist the urge to call them on their BS.

Well said.

I'm really surprised no one has kawaii tumblrinas yet. I mean I'm all for people getting into anime, but most of these kids don't even watch it and they use the "scene" to be unique and a special snowflake.

If it's not genuine, don't do it. That's how I feel.

I guess it's the same as in any geeky hobby the guy commonly refereed to as the "Alpha Nerd". Normally you mainly get them on forums they are just a know it all about everything and every single post has to be this huge essay of how much they know of a particular subject like their opinion is that important we are all bowing down waiting for them to pass judgment. They also delight in putting down others due to their lack of knowledge or for getting a fact wrong.

Other types i dunno some people who are weaboos can get annoying especially when they are all defensive if you discuss a subject that is critical of Japan. I got into this massive argument with this one person who was like that while in a discussion on how Japan sweeps homosexuality under the carpet. She was saying things that had no facts to back them up and just being ultra defensive of Japan for the sake of it all while a student who is studying Japanese culture in Japan was backing me up and telling her she was wrong but she wouldn't have it.

I've met weaboos who i really like though so it's not so bad. When i was living in Japan for a year i met a girl who really annoyed me at first just like a friend of a friend type thing who was in Japan for the first time but she was a lot of fun in the end she was a bit like Suzy from Genshiken she tried to fit in with Japanese people in all the wrong ways but it was sort of cute XD
