For those who don't know what they are....

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EldritchAbomination

What do you think of them? Cool cats? Horrible creatures? Phersu is the best one?

You see, me and my buddy Dagon were discussing you feeble mortals, and I presented a good point. How do they see us? So I told him that I'd ask a few of you to see how you view us Eldritch folk.

Dagon says hello.

'Humans suffer Brown Note or Go Mad from the Revelation effects just from witnessing their Alien Geometries'

So, Phersu, turns out my doctor was wrong and those fits of pooing all over the walls while combing my hair and calling myself a 'pretty girl' was all down to you.

You did want to see what was behind the mask. So....not my fault.

Hmm... I wonder if you're trying... to tell me something... Meh, give it 8 more episodes, I'll work out whether you really hate me or not.

I'm rather fond of Kuuko, actually. Oh, and hello Dagon!

I have to put this behind a spoiler box, but my answer is Shiraui Tsumugi.

I was wondering when someone would mention that.

She is easily the best girl in Knights of Sidonia, her comforting Nagate by transforming was adorable, albeit nightmare fuel inducing afterwards.

To answer the original question, I think Eldritch Abominations are awesome even if they are directly from the H.G Wells Mythos. Like with the Angels in NGE, a lot of those were pretty frigging sketchy but they added a large amount of depth to the story and definitely helped drive the story (duh). It's a shame we don't see more of this sort of stuff in series in general, especially anime. There's a bunch in manga though (Looking at you Uzumaki, you pure unfiltered mindfuck of a manga).

The old gods from WoW will likely always be my favorites. As for how they see us... probably can't answer that without it sounding like a "Chuck Norris fact" or something like that.
