So...just from the band name, and mention of them not being able to play instruments my assumption was actual babies. ANYWAYS to clear the confusion for anyone else the internet brought me this:

BABYMETAL - Gimme chocolate!!

This is goddamn amazing.

This topic was brought up in one of my classes at school, I go to school for music so it's not that odd, and we watched a couple videos and everyone just started laughing and saying it a little musicality to it at all but I don't agree with that . Takayoshi Ohmura is a fucking beast of a guitarist and the melodic and harmonic structure of the songs is actually pretty tight. I feel no shame listening to this band or any music really if I'm having a good time listening that's all that matters.

Baby metal is pretty good. Not really "metal" so much as a bunch of cute girls pretending to be metal but it still gives me a chuckle and is enjoyable to listen to.

I'm a metal head through and through. Mostly extreme metal (Death, Black, etc.) and I love Baby Metal. That being said, you should feel as ashamed as I do...Which is very, VERY ashamed...Until you start the next song, then you can be guilt free until it's over. At which point, resume your shame sir.

I'm with this guy on the genre preferences but I really don't feel guilty at all haha. It's refreshing and new, and I like the music, the stage presence, and the unique approach they're using.

Some of their songs are pretty catchy, I'll admit.

It's not really any more embarrassing than someone listening to say Miley Cyrus or Nicki Minaj. And plenty of people listen to them.

i think it's well produced music and successful in what it wants to do, that chorus on gimme chocolate is really cool :0) idol groups can be deceiving i think
