I'd like to learn more about space and related things (space travel and I guess physics). It's darned interesting stuff.

I love physics, was one of my favorite subjects in college. I was heartbroken when I took the highest level physics course offered at my school. It was taught by a professor who had worked for NASA among other places, but it turned out he couldn't teach a fish to swim, so I was only able to learn what I was able to teach myself in order to pass.

Since you presumably watch anime, of which a good portion is scifi, you might like "Physics of the Impossible" by Michio Kaku. Not extremely in-depth, but it covers interesting topics like time travel, energy shields, etc.. I'd advise against reading anything by Lawrence Krauss, his books I've looked at seem to spend more time on proselytizing atheism than actually discussing physics.

Myself, I'd like to learn to grow bonsai trees. My grandfather had many, and it was a terrible shame that most of them died while he was terminally ill with cancer. I'd have really liked to keep at least one of them with me to remember him by, or start a few of my own. Unfortunately, my home has cats in it, so anything even remotely plant-like ends up being eaten and regurgitated on one of the carpets in short order.

depending if I get the new job or not,

pursue my national certification for Photovoltaic and Solar Heating

or

certification for electrical utilities dispatcher

I like the utilities world, it's fascinating and shows how much we depend on electricity 0.0

Photovoltaic ans Solar Heating?

related to what is commonly known as solar panels, solar energy, etc.

photovoltaic=solar panels
solar heating= use of sun to provide heat. very popular with heating pools (some hotels started using this to reduce their energy costs for heating their fancy pools)

this industry is out there, just people don't know about it unless you look for it.

There are a number of foreign languages I've always wanted to learn, but I've never taken to learning foreign languages easily and I'm lazy so I've put it off. I've also been interested in things like graphics design but have never taken the time to actually pick up the hobby.

I wanna learn to be a better artist. I use to draw and create stuff quite abit back in highschool, but when I got into college and found a job, I haven't done much of anything as creative as what I did back then. Its actually a goal of mine to go to art school once I get a good career going, you know, just for the fun of learning something just for fun.

Oh my! I'm nowhere near that ambitious.

My list is probably somewhere around 5, but I'd settle for one or two.

No shame in that. Wanting to learn is a trait that more people should have.

I've always been interested in learning more about prosthetics, especially in how we might take other technologies (like game AI) and see how they might be integrated to advance motion control and such.
