I mumble all the time but I'm great at projecting my voice I just can't be bothered to put the effort in of talking louder. Such is the extent of my laziness.

Everyone says I am like shouting or talk to loud so I'm not sure if mumble or not

People are often afraid to make friends (and enemies). Having an opinion isn't something that is entirely respectable. People have different morals and ethical beliefs; whether something is right, whether it is wrong; whether it's a grey area. People mumble because they're scared and don't have the confidence to stand up and believe in themselves (even if for a limited time).

I've been told that I mumble a lot, I'm not overly shy or nervous around other people though. I guess I just tend to keep quiet most of the time so when I do speak it doesn't come out the way I meant for it to.

I mumble to think something through. It's usually just me talking to myself.

Lol I used to mumble a lot because I had problems speaking up. It's like every time I tried to say something audible, it came out being a clumsy mumble. My teachers always had to keep calling out my name in class during roll call because I was too quiet (unfortunately). Overtime I got so fed up with it, that I just started shouting my name out despite how embarrassing it was lol. Now I'm a bit more used to speaking loudly. I still mumble to myself though. Not sure why I do it. I think to release all the tension thoughts that keep swirling around inside my head.

I have a deep voice so I have to talk softly so people don't think I'm trying to start a fight.

To feel the soothing vibration of the larynx and put them at ease in many situations, or something.

Because they're saying something they're not supposed to be, and are too cowardly to be aggressive about it, or don't even believe it themselves.

I suppose they could lack social development be shy, but I've honestly never seen it. Every mumbler I've ever seen needed a slap to the ear.

When I mumble, I'm often talking about things that don't pertain to anyone else (brooding over memories, correcting my grammar, observations, cursing when hurt, etc...). In other words, I'm mumbling because it's no one's business but my own, and I'd like to keep it that way. Occasionally, I'm venting without trying to morph a situation into an unnecessary mess, being made to say something that I don't support, embarrassed, caught off guard, humiliated, etc... No matter the reason, though, people aren't entitled to know every little thing that a person says.

More often than not, I'm a soft-speaker, not a mumbler. It's rare that I need to project my voice, so I end up out of practice.

I apparently mumble a lot since I am often asked what I just said. It's most likely because I'm shy and nervous when talking to people. I don't always notice it, so I appreciate when people tell me about it even though it's something I'm quite embarrassed by.

I guess compared to the other kids a couple years ago, I had a deeper voice compared to them. In middle school, people would say they could hear me from across the room. Now in high school, I don't have that much of a deeper voice than the others. I guess I started to mumble trying to be quieter. So before was too loud, now too soft. I don't think I'm mumbling. Sometimes, I think it's the other people that are deaf. (lol) Only purposely do mumble when not trying to be heard, but usually I say stuff in my head. I don't know.
