If you want more control over your billing, you may want to consider purchasing a gift membership for yourself, rather than subscribing through the website. You could also set a calendar reminder to notify you on the last day of your membership in order to remind yourself to cancel.

Customer support can disable auto renewal at their discretion, but this is probably not the most reliable solution. As noted at the top of the Help forums, you should /contact customer support for all billing questions.

Click the user icon then hit Settings. There's should be a Cancel Membership Renewal button somewhere in that page. If it does exactly what I think it does, then your problem is solved. You're welcome.

That button is only available if you have a 3- or 12-month subscription. If you have less than 30 days left on your current billing period, the button is just "Cancel Membership" (as it does for me, currently).

Oh.. but he didn't say that his account has less than thirty days left. If that's that case, then he should just cancel his membership on the last day.

I assumed that Avlaen was getting close to their next billing date, due to the way they were asking for help.
