What was the last thing you learned and how did you learn it? By this, I mean pretty much anything you've recently learned...it could be as simple as as learning how to say hello in German, to as complex as how to fix a household appliance all the way to a sudden realization you've had due to something you watched, read, played, experienced, etc that allowed you to learn something.

Now...go!

For my part, I will say that I was watching this video helped me learn something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvoystBbq7g
The personality of someone I know into something I can relate to: a cat

It's like.....HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THIS SOONER?!?!

Not saying who, but I learned that one of the people that I'm supposed to be able to count on, that supposedly cares for my well-being, is the biggest fake, lier, and bitch ever to walk on earth.

I don't know. I'm learning Chinese because I wanna travel to China and Taiwan at some point, and teach English in that region of the world, and for an English speaker Chinese has to be the absolute hardest thing to learn. Japanese is easy if you try hard enough, Korean is difficult but you can still do it (FIGHTING) . But the amount of inflection and tone in some Chinese words is just really hard for anyone whose native language is a Romantic one.

For people who want to learn something right now: Japanese kanji borrows heavily from the Chinese alphabet and Japanese standalone words borrow more from English, Portugese, and Dutch than they do anything else. For example, konpuutaa is computer, sandoichii is a sandwich, and there's some other ones I can't remember right now.

You learn all the time, every minute of the day.
For example, I learned that there was a thread about what I last learned today -.-

Off topic xD

Though, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't konpuutaa & sandoichii written in Katakana, whereas normal Japanese words are in Hirigana.. So, my question is, is Hirigana then from Chinese as well o.o?

I don't know, I learned the latter from the book I used to learn Japanese first time around. I know Kanji is, but the rest however I won't pretend to even know its origins, although my best guess would be yes it is.
