Who said I chose CR over FUNi? I use both!

Funimation's site is still a pain to navigate. Though it is getting somewhat better.

The app still sucks though. Seriously, paying $10 for an app and then needing a sub to still get all content lol Crunchyroll has spoiled me

I use FUNi's Roku app. Didn't cost me the $10.

I'd have to get a Roku box then :/

I use both. But, to be honest, Funi's service is much worse than CR's. CR's service works flawlessly across any app or device I use it one. It keeps track of where I am in series and in episodes. The only problem I have is occasional lag.
Funimation has a lot less lag on their new site than they did on the old version. However, ever since then I have not been able to get bookmarking to work on my Roku boxes, and it does not work well on their web site. If it wasn't for the fact that every season they have a few shows streaming that I want to watch, I would drop them.

I am subscribed to both. Both sites have a good selection, but Funi wins my vote because their video player is miles better than CR's. However, I do think CR's translations are a lot better than Funi's.

I learned about CR before Funimation. But now I choose both. Though I watch anime in both places, I do only post in forums here. Probably because here is where I got used to first.

Things I definitely like better on CR than Funimation are that its apps are better and it's available on more platforms, the queue is a whole lot nicer and functional across devices, and now they have manga (which forms my bedtime reading every night).

But I like that when CR doesn't have a show, Funi often does, so it's a great backup option for me. I would have hated to miss out on Ping Pong. Because Funi had it, I didn't have to. (It's also certainly because Funi had it that CR didn't, but I don't begrudge a little competition.)

Easy, here isn't "We have our own player, but you should use hulu anyway." I just don't get that logic.

I would be using both if Funimation actually streamed outside of US and Canada.

I actually use both.

And to be honest, ever since they updated their site, it's been great to me.

Honestly, I have more problems with lag on Crunchyroll's service.

I'm using both so I can keep up with everything I want to watch. Funimations has a crappy layout and dead forums though, and I really, really hate their refusal to switch up their fonts and how they sub all of the credits in the Zankyou no Terror OP. Seriously, who the hell subs credits?

Funimation is only worthwhile for Roku users, and recently perhaps 360 users as well.

Hulu is actually the better option to supplement CR with since they have Funimation titles along with Sentai titles that CR didn't get, plus some others. Plus Hulu's obvious device range advantage. Only downside is the short ad breaks. Meh.

I also don't like that their site was unusably bad until last year, they only fix issues 9 AM-5 PM on WEEKDAYS (come on, it's a streaming service, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen). And they buy third party apps on the cheap that they don't know how to maintain. All in all they don't really know how to run a streaming service.

I knew about CR long before I found out about Funimation's website, and the reason I joined CR was for Crunchyland (no longer exists). Now, I stick around for the forums and the community that I know. The Funimation site lags for me in a way that promises freezing if I stick around for long, and it doesn't interest me.

CR has a better layout and Funimation is a real pain to navigate. Also this my just be a problem with my laptop but Funimation tends to freeze a lot while CR does not

Two reasons:

#1 - Funimation's web site is horrific.
#2 - Funimation's Android app costs $10. Even WITH paid membership. So you gotta pay for the membership AND the app. They do have a free app, but it only shows 4 episodes. And have you SEEN their Android app? It's more horrifying than their web site.

Even tho CR's Android app needs a bit of love (and CR needs to recognize Amazon's tablets are a viable platform) at least CR's app is free and your content is tied to your membership status.

I'll buy physical media from Funi, and that's the extent of it.
