Pride in Your Country
Posted 6/27/07 , edited 6/27/07
All my life I've been obsessed with Japanese culture, and not really noticing America's culture that much. It's a mix of different things, but if someone asked me, I wouldn't be able to tell everyone what I like about America, except for the freedom we have here. For me, to move would not be much of a big deal at all, because there's not much to loose. It's not that I don't like America, or apprietiate it.

What about other people? Do you lack pride in your country? or do you have a lot of pride in your country?

Sorry if this has been posted before.

I happen to love my country. Yes, I have pride in it too. No, I don't agree with everything, but who does? And yes, I have lived abroad and know what I am talking about, and therefore do not take my country for granted like many people who have never lived outside the US seem to.

For anyone who sees it different, not a problem. Go somewhere else, we won't miss you. Hell, I'll even help you pack your bags.

I like my country. But I am not much of a patriot. US is actually better then what people might think. But we do have a lot of problems.

I think that pride causes too much problems. So far it's pride and money that's been the cause of wars and death.

Well I live in Scotland right now and despite all the Scotland vs England jokes which I hear a lot I still love this place. It may be constantly cold and raining *looks out the window* and it might be pretty remote where I live right now but I really like it here.
I identify myself more with Scotland than England anyway. ^^

And I'll always be proud of the fact that I was born in China.
Never forget your roots.

^ I was born in Scotland ^__^
~ but I moved to England about 6-7 years ago now. Quite Sunny down here in Manchester.

Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere remote but I live in the city; always have. I used to live in a town near glasgow called Renfrew.

TBH, I don't see MUCH difference between England and Scotland 'cept from the scenery... All I see these days is the Boring old Peak District ¬¬ --- It has a much nicer feel to it when I go back up to Scotland- perhaps this is just because it's where i was born though ^^
