So I'm on my school's cross country team. When we practice, I don't wear a shirt, because it's fucking hot outside and I find it extremely uncomfortable to wear a shirt while running.

Almost half way through my 3 mile run today, I was stopped by my coach. I was told that since the football team and other teams complained about me not wearing a shirt (specifically me because I'm the only one who doesn't wear a shirt during practice), I had to go put a shirt on and continue practice. Something about people being offended or something.

Well it's fucking hot outside, and it's uncomfortable. All I had was the shirt I wore to school today, which had to be the worst shirt I could possibly wear and run in.

Why do people get so offended over the silliest things? How do you get offended over something like this? I just don't understand.

its called school policy

and freedom of privacy.

Its sort of a crime to go topless in public.

drink more water.

be more fit.

thats all i can say.

and take of your shit when're you alone.

People get offended because they've been lied to all their lives that their feelings and opinions matter at all times.

I suppose we should all be allowed to go around naked really, it doesn't actually hurt anyone. I'm serious, the only reason we feel uncomfortable is because we've been trained to. Animals manage to hang around naked with each other and not argue about it, by rising above our animal instincts we also seem to have picked up some bad habits. I don't think I'd be uncomfortable seeing men training with no shirts (at a distance at least) but if they actually were naked or it was a female then I'd probably be uncomfortable and I find that kind of sad. It's something most of us need to work on I suppose.

Agreed, but sometimes, people hate others because they see a part of themselves they resent in that person.
