The world's protagonist is clearly Dr. Who. Where/when he/she is is always changing and there's nothing that cannot be resolved by taking a screwdriver and adding a little more sonic to it.

The FBI? They're cool. They offer me sacrifices to not destroy everything. They offer all us Eldritch sacrifices. Dagon gets the best, though. Yog gets the scraps.

Oh good golly; In that case, I must seek them out. I wonder if threats would work if they denied me. I want Shub to get a decent amount of his helpings.

It's probably a MMOG (I guess that ties into that other thread).

"Only you can save..." *Skips text*, *shares quest with group*, *sees crowds of other people doing the exact same thing*.

They want us to think we're the most important person in the world but we're just another customer. Oh well, maybe the fantasy is worth it.

Signs that you may be "The Protagonist":

You talk to everyone and they rarely treat you as a weirdo.
People seem to conspicuously mention problems that may need to be solved or random information about the world that may be useful later.
Most people around you only say the same things over and over.
You feel compelled to pick up everything, even in other people's houses.
You're never blamed for stealing or if you are the retribution tends to be excessive (such as people trying to kill you for picking up their cup).
Weird things you pick up always come in handy later.
You can carry 50 suits of plate armour but if you're already carrying 50 differently sized marbles then you can't carry anything else.
Even horrible wounds have little effect on you but a paper cut too far and you instantly collapse dead.
Some people will follow you anywhere if you ask and will do whatever you say while they're following you then leave whenever you want.
You always know how much "health" and "ammo"/"mana"/other resource you have left.
People will wait while you drink potions, use items or fiddle with your inventory, even in the middle of a fight.
People will wait forever for you to respond to something they've said.
You don't improve at things gradually but suddenly gain new abilities after certain activities, even if you haven't practiced them at all.
People always give in to your charm. If they don't then you just need to come back later after some fighting or helping people.

(There's probably already a better list like this somewhere, now that I think of it).

Everyone is the protagonist in their own right. Everyone has a different story.

Any of you guys ever think that this whole world was just something that you created when you were "born". I used to think about that way more than i should have when i was younger.

Humanity. We help ourselves (technology, love, peace) and destroy ourselves (technology, war, abuse).

It's how it is.

Christina Aguilera is the protagonist in my world.

she's such an oddball, that's part of the reasons why I can relate to her so much. plays tomodachi life, donkey kong and wears flip flops to red carpet events... when the camera's not on her. there's just something about her personality that intrigues me.

My rabbit is this world's protagonist. He was a prince in his past life, and he's been reincarnated into a bunny with all of his old memories. Whenever I go to sleep at night he sneaks out of his cage and gathers his reincarnated royal animal army to fight the evil forces that are plotting this world's demise. I know. I've seen it.
