A minor thing, but I'm mentioning it to be inclusive...

I like the idea that the "black boxes" have the "Available in xxx hours/minutes from now", but at least on my Roku 3, they are 7 hours wrong (reporting too soon). For instance it says Rail Wars is available in 59 minutes, but it is really due in 7 hours and 59 minutes. Other upcoming times on other shows seem to be consistently off by the same 7 hours. It'll be interesting to see what it says an hour from now...

Edit: It went to saying "Available Soon" when the time ran out. (Central US Timezone if that matters)

Any chance you are in the PST timezone? If so, sounds like confusion between UTC and local time.

Load/Lag is still atrocious, as is the fast forward/rewind. Bring back the frame by frame.

Thanks for the updates that have been done for the Roku devices. I think others users have already mentioned it in previous comments, but to reiterate, the playback error/internet connection message is getting really old. Is this being addressed for the next update? Also, as I didn't have the patience to read the entire thread of comments, is there a reason thumbnails or time cannot be shown when fast forwarding or rewinding? It will also be nice to have to have the capability to exit when re-watching a show. Right now the only option is to resume where you left off, or play from the beginning. Typically updates are meant to improve and enhance, not detract from usability.

From what the Roku SDK docs state, it is probably because the HLS format that is now used doesn't support a specific still image format that was no doubt used for the thumbnails. Providers that likely use HLS (like Netflix) but still provide FF/RW thumbnails probably had to code their own support.

For those of us that were monitoring the discussions on the Roku app in the Help! section of the forum, this was the one item we were warned would be missing well before it arrived (vs. no warning about the UI changes).

So far, things seem to be behaving. I've tested out the features of starting an episode from a particular time and autoloading the next episode and both functions are working. It still takes a while to load the CR channel but it's only about 30 seconds instead of 60 or more.

To be honest, I don't like having to hold the button down to access the episode list. The arrow key would have been a better idea but at least some of the nagging problems are being corrected.
