Just so everyone is aware. I demanded a refund for the current period I'm still in, referencing the roku fiasco and I got it right away. I recommend others do the same.

I don't want to leave CR because of this , they do have a great variety of anime, the best library I've seen so far besides funimation. I would like them to FIX the UI issues, and or give an option to revert back to the old UI.

Just realized that if I can lookup the show from my queue using alphabet search function, then I get the episode list on my screen, and I can skip to next episode, or previous one but FF is still a disaster, also genre list is gone but using alphabet/ letter search I can browse through anines, but this whole process of looking up a series, or browsing under letter search has just made viewing process longer than it is necessary. Change is always difficult but if it's a good change and things work like they are supposed to, than its welcomed.

this new roku app seems to be looking for a mouse that doesn't exist on a roku! So instead I have to use weird button options that are not even explained. I vote to bring back the old app too. It was clean and easy to use. Whoever approved this app for roku should be fired. Whoever sold the person on approving it should be fired. Whoever didn't speak up to their superior because it wasn't their place to speak up should be fired.
1. I use the roku on a huge screen in HD, why is the resolution of the app 800x600?
2. Why do I need to press tons of buttons now, when I only had to use one button and the directional? MUDA of effort!
3. What exactly was wrong with the old app that everyone acclaimed when comparing to Funinmation ?

would prefer the old app better. at least with that you can scroll through the series and pick out an episode unlike in the new one. please either revert back to the old one or update the update. thank you

I had to watch 4 freaking ads before the show started....and when i tried to rewind a part it fast-forwarded it and spoiled the rest of the episode. This new update is a piece of shit. If cr can't fix it, just revert to the old app; it was absolutely perfect the way it was. Until then, I'm not using this stupid freaking piece of crap.

P.S. I know this is a rant, but I honestly don't want to spend any more time discussing how to fix this piece of shit if they can just go back the the perfectly fine older version. Sorry

They've promised they are going to fix that somehow. It will probably be shonky when they do, at least in the first build that they roll out to fix the multiple problems they created by not beta testing.


I don't understand why the update was needed.

They probably decided that they needed to settle on one or a few common user interfaces to make development for more devices easier.

Unfortunately they neglected to find out first which of their existing user interfaces were most popular and why, and instead went for something that "looks cool".


The classic app worked perfectly fine.

It didn't have a player that could handle variable bitrate streaming, and they are trying to add that. But making too many changes with software at one time is asking for a lot of extra problems ... so it was probably a mistake to shift toward a common user interface and change the video streaming player both at the same time.


Either revert back to it or fix the issues.

They seem like they are going to do the second.

That's a problem, but I haven't seen anything from them that suggests they are going to fix that. Not a word yet that suggests they understand that having the buttons make no sense for a Roku/SmartTV remote control is a problem they should fix.

The update for the roku is a nice design but the commercials and add are messing up the video feed the adds pop up every half min. i can't watch any of the anime that i like please CrounchyRoll just go back to having one commercial please.

Is anyone still having the same problem, its 2015 and I was wondering if it is fixed or not. The last time I used crunchyroll the playback issues were so common to the point where I almost felt like running a complaint. The ads also sometimes popped up in one of the most crucial and emotional moments of an anime, in which, actually killed the moment. I rather watch anime the way it was before rather than having its quality as it is now if there's more issues than overall entertainment (watching the video at all to playback issues and ads interrupting everything).

I like the newest layout. The content however, not so much with genre list being gone. If you want a list of episodes just go to your queue and hold the OK button for a couple of seconds. I mean it DOES explain it there. Get it together kiddos. I'm not going to cancel my sub, however the "playback interrupted" keeps popping up constantly and it us getting on my last nerve. Please fix that asap.
