A problem I'm having with the new update is that my non-Roku IR remote (Logitech Harmony) worked before but now shifts two series to the left or right making it impossible to shift one to the right or left. This problem has never existed with my Crunchyroll Roku before.

It's true that the Roku remote itself works but on no other Roku channel do I have the 2 shift problem with my IR remote. The problem only exists with the new Crunchyroll channel app.

I would really appreciate it if this was fixed as I prefer to use my single Logitech controller rather than have several controllers - or, in this case, an extra controller sitting next to me just for Crunchyroll. If my other Roku channels work fine with Left/Right controls I think that Crunchyroll should be able to have their new app work similarly.

Here there be dragons! When I connected my remote to my PC, the Harmony software offered to update my Roku device. Foolishly I said yes thinking that might take care of the "double shift." Big mistake, all my Roky button customizations went away. Now I get to track down that issue. Sigh.

I'm using the (now ancient) 880 remote. I eliminated the double shift by setting the repeat rate down to 1. Here's a link to the note I followed:

Unfortunately, the newer Logitech/Harmony application won't allow you to customize things like button repeats (only the older interface did that - and settings aren' necessarily maintained going from one interface to the other)...There may not be a choice for new interface users..

Also -- the Harmony works correctly for all other Roku channels, it's only the new CR app where it doesn't work properly.

I can also confirm this issue with a Harmony 600. No other channels (including the previous version of Crunchyroll) exhibit this behavior.

As a follow-up, holding down left or right (rather than just pressing it once) and releasing it once you reach the show/episode you want seems to work pretty well as a (hopefully temporary) workaround.

I also have the Logitech Harmony. It is not as good as advertised for Roku. Your smartphone is better - the Roku app works better with Android phones.

Howdy folks!

So I'm putting in an order for a Logitech Harmony so we can start working on this issue.

Would you be able to advise on a model (or let me know what you have?)

Thanks,

There are lots of models, I'm sure... Mine's a Harmony 700

I have a 700 as well (also have some other models); however, it's not the Harmony model that's a problem. The configurations that are stored at Logitech are for the IR versions of the Roku - mine's a Roku 3. - thankfully, the Roku receiver will pick up wireless and IR signals; however, the Logitech can't be trained on the Wireless remote.

Nevertheless, the problem isn't really the Logitech Harmony controller. The problem is that Crunchyroll is using a different input configuration than every other Roku program (as well as different from the previous Crunchyroll input configurations). Nobody wants to have to have one configuration for Crunchyroll and one for the other few thousand Roku channels.

As a workaround, if someone can do this (and confirm that their controller still works properly with the other Roku programs) we'd need someone to use the single repeat setup and upload it to Logitech so that we could download the configuration. It would probably have to be renamed to Roku-1 or something like that - to differentiate it from the other Roku configurations (and we'd need them to ensure that it has all the regular Roku configurations are still extant)

I have a Harmony 880 Pro. Not surprisingly, it exhibits the same behavior as others up-post have noted. One thing I stumbled on while navigating the Queue is that if you have an even number of titles, as you move left to right all the way to the end of the queue, those same skipped titles will get landed on when you go back right to left.

Example with 10 items in Queue:

Left to right -- 1 > 3 > 5 > 7 > 9 > 10

Right to left -- 10 > 8 > 6 > 4 > 2 > 1

It's no fix, but if you don't have a ton of titles in your queue, it's a workaround.

I'm using

Logitech Harmony Smart Control with Smartphone App and Simple Remote - Black (915-000194)

Works on all other Roku programs except Crunchyroll. Was working fine before the Crunchyroll update on Roku.
