I've never been there(or to any other country other than my own for that matter) but I always thought that if I could go to Japan, that's where I would want to go. Imagine being an otaku and live in a place lacking in everything anime, manga, and games- Akiba would be like heaven!! If I could go there, I probably would buy a bunch of anime/manga/game merchandise that aren't available here and visit one of those maid cafes. But if I didn't have enough money for all that, even window shopping is fine since just being there is awesome enough. Since I don't have a good fashion sense(everyone in my family says so), I'd just be wearing t-shirt plus jeans unless someone lends me a cosplay outfit. XD

I haven't been, but AKIBA LOOKS SO FUN!!

Before catching a plane to Japan with a couple of my otaku friends, we'd definitely line up tickets to see AKB48 in concert!

In front of the entrance to the AKB48 Theater would be the perfect place for a photo-op. Say cheese! :3

They'd be good tickets too. Nothing in the way back. More like FRONT ROW SEATS!!

After the show, our voices would probably be hoarse from too much singing/screaming, so we'd have to stop in at a cafe for a refreshing pot of tea and desserts. There's a cat cafe in Akiba called Neko JaLaLa that has piqued my interest:

Here we could decide on what sights we want to see next while relaxing with the fine felines that wait on the shop's customers.

Because while it's not a maid cafe, it still has neko ears! ^_^

Akihabara here I come. April 2015. I have never gone to Akihabara. My brother and me will hopefully be going next year and are really looking forward to it especially to Akihabara. We have been saving up for 2 years now just to go there. Akihabara for sure will be the first stop when going to Japan. The things i would do once I'm there would be visit the manga shops. Find Japanese versions of manga I know and love. I would then go to shops that sell figures to purchase my favorite anime characters. During my breaks from all the walking around, I would have a meal at the maid cafes. And of course I would walk down the streets of Akihabara wearing my kakashi cosplay.

PS Vita but I have both consoles. (:

I've never been to Japan at all, but if I were to visit Akiba, I would go to all anime-related stores and places! I would buy a ton of light novels, video games, figures, and manga. I would visit a lot of arcades and play the games, then visit a maid cafe.

No preference.

If I went to Akihabara i'd check out the Gundam Cafe and probably spend every dime on JRPGs in Super Potato. I'd definitely have to check out Mandarake, too. But my focus is definitely on games.

I have never been to Akihabara before, but I got the chance to, I would go to the arcades and play Dance Dance Revolution and show everybody up with my awesome dance skills! After that, I would go and stock up on anime and manga and while I'm buying anime, I would buy a DVD and Blu-ray player so I can watch the anime when I go back to the United States. I would also buy some PS3 games for my system. I would do it all while wearing my favorite T-shirt which is my Blue Exorcist T-shirt, jeans, and my blue sneakers. On the plane ride back, I would fall asleep with my Pillow Pet and Adventure Time throw cover.

The one thing I'd have to do - above all the maid cafes, and all the stores selling games that never leave Japan - the one thing I'd need to do is this:

Stand in the middle of the street, arms outstretched to the sky, and yell:

AAKIIIIHAAAAAAABAAAAARRRAAAAAAAA!!!

Awesome job! I've definitely decided to add your fav places to visit to my wishlist if I ever get to go to Akihabara.
I can't have cats because my brothers are allergic so Neko JaLaLa sounds soooo nice!

Have never had the opportunity to visit Japan, let alone Akihabara.
If given the chance I'd head straight to the first maid and/or cosplay café and try their specialties.
Check out Manga and Anime stores, probably buy a lot of "how to draw" books.
Definitely see if there is a cosplay shop that carry awesome gear and props for 6ft fluffy men.
At the very least I have to visit the arcades and check out the local entertainment like music & shows.

I have been to Akiba so many times it is very hard to decide which one visit was my favorite, seeing the sights. Large robots some well known some not so much.
Going in to Donki and trying on the many things that you really don't see here in the states.
Shopping for my survival game gun.
The first time you walk into a shop unexpectedly and finding Japanese porn. No picture here kiddies.
But I will always remember the last time I went, just days before I flew out going back to the States after living in Japan for two years. I went and tried to take in as much I could, see things I didn't get to on my previous journeys. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures on this trip I wanted to see it through my own eyes and put it my memory rather than see it through my camera's lens. I would like to return again one day and see the quirky and weirdness that is Akihabara!
PSVita please

I'd visit a weapons shop, a mandarake, a games centre I prefer to seeing all the merch more than actual shopping and then I'd like to take a walk at night to check out the neon.
I'm a pretty boring tourist.
No preference, I don't have a console that would run it.
