You can say that again. Haven't been able to use CrunchyRoll for over a year now. The Roku unit bought specifically for that purpose just collects dust.

I am recently having problems with Crunchyroll as well. It will tell me ERROR, will kick me out in the middle of an episode, etc. Last night, I might have tried to get into Crunchyroll about 15 times, meanwhile my sister could access the app perfectly from her mobile. I wanted the Roku specifically for Crunchyroll as well. /:

In terms of improvement, I like the fact that I usually get ads pertaining to anime. If I'm going to get ads, I prefer it to be related content. Also, I like how I can still access all the categories in a way that I find efficient. It does, however, take a very long time to load.

I have been experience intermittent connection issue with crunchyroll and roku stick over the last 2 weeks. (1/7/16 - 1/16-17)

initial loading is much slower, 20-30 seconds, and sometimes it just kicks back to the original roku main menu before finishing. at other times only some of the icons appear and the anime tab is completely blank. other times it gives a check connection message. other times it acts if the sign in did not work.

other roku apps such as you tube, sling tv and amazon are not showing any of these issues.

also my android crunchroll manga app is also showing issues, such as losing the sign in or delays in loading the next chapter..(reading UQ holder at this time)

Please make it so we can sort anime in our que alphabetically. It would also be nice if there was a way to differentiate between the series we have completed in the selection que. Thanks

You can order the queue on the website in whatever sequence suits your needs best, and that follows through to all your devices. You don't have to put up with an un-ordered list with all your new additions going to the bottom.


Personally, since I watch mostly with my Roku TV, I order mine with catalog titles at the bottom with current simulcasts at the top, in release-day/time order, and I rotate it every night, popping the next day to the top so it is ready for me tomorrow. With Pop-to-top, you just put your mouse cursor on the one show at the bottom of the simulcasts and keep clicking, so it only takes seconds to keep it ordered.

People have been asking for more queue control for a very long time now, I even made a post about it myself three years ago collecting a bunch of the queue requests that have been going on for even longer /forumtopic-836061/collected-queue-suggestions-wishes-and-thoughts ... I don't see it happening. CR is venture-capital owned now, and something like site programming is very difficult to pitch for funding, because it is hard to prove that it would be the cost-effective factor that could increase the subscription rate to make up for the investment.

Consider taking the watched shows out of your queue entirely to make it smaller, and keep track of that on a partnered tracking site like myanimelist.net or anime-planet.com where you can make lists however you want to. I get it that you probably don't want to do that, it would be more integrated here, but there comes a point after years of waiting with no response where you have to find another way to manage it. Plus, when shows go away here, history for those would be lost, whereas with an external site, you keep all of that, plus all the other show history you have watched on other sites all together.

Thanks for letting me know I have been doing it manually on my PS4 this entire time and and it gets very tedious with the amount of shows I have in my que. I might have to use the tracking site for shows I have started then got side tracked and need to finish more then shows I have finished.

...I've verified that my account is linked, and tried the command prompt command in Windows 7.

...Got the error message in the attached screenshot...

So my problem is that when I go to Roku.com it says Crunchyroll is installed. But When I go to my new Roku Premiere+, it doesn't show up.

I have like 4 Roku XR devices. Smoking old devices but they work like champs. Starting 5 days or longer ago I started getting "Playback Interrupted" on all the devices. I can still play episode 2 of one series for some reason but EVERYTHING else gets "Playback interrupted - check your connection" when I attempt to start it.

To be so consistent across 4 devices to be able to play just one simulcast series episodes 1 and 2 (three isn't up) but everything else (Old or New) that I've tried (From Yuri to Voltron/Go Lion) I get "Playback interrupted - Check Connection".

Knocked my queue down for laughs but that didn't help.

I just got a Roku 4... everything on it works well except the Crunchyroll app. It loads slowly, a minute or more. It often crashes immediately after loading. I get multiple error messages about "connections issues". When it does actually load, the shows don't appear in the menu. When I can actually get a menu and select an episode, the video runs fine, but the app is useless about 3/4 of the time. A big part of the reason I went with the Roku is so that I could get Crunchyroll on the big screen... but I need CR to live up to their side of the deal!
Oh, and when I pay for an online service, I kind of expect to have a tech support department that I can contact directly rather than just posting on a bulletin board and hoping that somebody is paying attention.

Anyone knows why Dragon Ball Super has bad quality stream in the Roku app but not in other devices apps, and every other series has the best quality in the roku app

No idea, but yeah I'm having the same issue. Finally decided to pick back up where I left off and disturbingly found the audio quality to be horrific. It's like that for every episode I've checked.

It is now March and doesn't seem like the Roku-crunchyroll problem is resolved. Non of my animes are loading. For example, I click Beserk, then click play, and then the retrieving bar shows then blank. The screen is blank or black. I waited 5 to 10 minutes thinking it is just slow, nope, nothing. I have Uninstall education and reinstalled Crunchyroll, I reset the router etc., etc.. Nothing has worked. And I cannot find a place to email Crunchyroll, it keeps sending me to the same contact screen that just refers you to the forums. Very, very annoying!
