Cline walked around with his fox mask- for some reason he felt the need to conceal his face. He walked around the festival, noticing a shop that had an assortment of masks lined up with various creature designs. He smiled to himself as he spotted a white fox mask, similar to his own.

Jae Hwa walked into the lively festival that was she saw miles away due to how happy things seemed. she clapped her hands eagerly as she put her hair into a tiny bun. her pink colored eyes excitedly went from one place to another as she went to a bunch of places to eat the food.

"man. the food is awesome~!" she says with a tiny squeal. she continued to stuff her face with the food she brought as she walked along the place. for such a tiny girl, she sure ate with a bottomless stomach.

A sweet aroma passed Cline's senses, leading him to a stall with meat on a stick. The man behind the counter smiled at him, seemingly not one bit startled by the mask on his face. Cline put up one hand, sticking up one finger to signify he wanted one stick. The man handed it to him instantly, Cline thanked him with a nod. "If you haven't gotten a lantern yet, I'd suggest doing so. The stall of lanterns is located at the front entrance. You don't wanna to miss out!"

Cline walked off with another nod of acknowledgement, heading toward the direction the man specified. His memories still seemed lost, though he was still convinced he was dreaming. He noticed the long line for the stall in question, so he decided to walk further until he spotted an area with a nice view overlooking the lake. He sat on the edge, took off his mask, and began devouring the meat.

Jae Hwa got more food than she could carry so she had to put the food in some sort of tray that wouldn't hold well. eventually, she dropped everything in front of Cline and struggled to keep her money and stuff in her other hand. she fell to her knees and stared at the food as if she just witnessed a murder. she slowly picked the food up and just put it into the nearest garbage. she got a lantern and went to where she dropped the food. she looked to Cline.

"Can you believe this? all that perfectly good food is dead. this isn't good. this festival sucks now." Jae murmurs as she sighs weakly. she sat beside him. she made it a habit to talk to random people she met just because she wanted some more friends. she crosses her legs and stared at the lantern with her pink eyes. another weak sigh escapes her lips as she pout. the chattering of people calmed her a little as she looked around.

Cline had finished his meat stick just in time before the girl sat next to him. He felt self conscious instantly, in a blur of rapid movement, his mask was back on. He adjusted it slightly as he looked at the small girl, who seemed to be quite the chatterbox. Cline was the complete opposite, however. A firefly came into his line of sight then, and he decided to capture it in his fist and present it to the girl. As he opened his palm, the firefly seemed to just sit there and not fly away. It was still alive though, Cline was sure he didn't accidentally kill it.

The festivities seemed to have been growing louder and louder as more people filed in. There was a row of lively children playing games at the respective gaming stall. The line at the lantern stands seemed to lessen by the minute, Cline noticed.
