Steins Gate is a classic example of how an anime should do suspense and reveal a plot

I don't care what anyone else thinks, there will be no other anime/manga that can top One Piece

Of these choices, I'd have to choose One Piece.

I can't speak much on No Game No Life because I can't get past the atrociously bad color palette of the show to form an opinion on it. I can't watch an entire episode because I get a migraine. It could be good, but it's sitting in my queue waiting for me to down some Excedrin before I give it a go.

I've never watched Angel Beats and so I can't say anything about it.

As for Sword Art Online; the first half of the first season was decent but lacked a great deal of depth, and I just didn't care for the second half. The second season is shaping up pretty well, and we're getting much more character depth with Sinon and even some with Kirito but we'll see if it continues.

One Piece is one those cases where, as much as I like the anime, I will gladly state that the Manga > Anime. The animation quality for the most part has been shit for a couple years now. Every now and again there is one really well animated scene and the rest just looks half assed. Add to that the fact that the show has been in serious need of a decent length filler arc since before Fishman Island just to give the manga some damn breathing room so we can stop getting these episodes of extremely extended fights, or 20 minutes of running from a purple gas cloud for 3 episodes in a row. Regardless of the anime's recent failings, the story is still engaging, and I still like all the characters. I love that each minor character introduced into the series has more backstory and more depth to them than some main characters have in their series *cough* Inaho *cough*.

And sadly, I just recently started watching Steins;Gate so I don't know how everything turns out but so far the series is beautiful. and the story has got me hooked.

One Piece currently holds the lead, with NGNL trailing close behind.

If was between NGNL and Angel Beats for me, but I had to go with NGNL. It was a perfect anime.

There's no------o such thing, and there never can be.

Oh, alright. I won't be sarcastically pedantic and acknowledge that there are some anime out there that just deliver an incredible experience beyond compare to any others the viewer has previously encountered, and further that what these anime are will vary from individual to individual.

Yeah, No Game No Life was not quote "perfect", there was just nothing that I didn't like about it. It's only my opinion, and I'm sure there are some flaws.

I'd have to go with Angel Beats since it had an interesting story to it. It also had just a HINT of sadness.. Sadly, there weren't much episodes to it.

Haven't watched Steins;Gate.

Haven't watched Angel Beats.

Watched a couple of episodes of One Piece a while back, but it was kind of just on the TV in the background, and about the only thing I can remember about it is the OP.

I'm a bad anime fan.

So, it's gonna be between NGNL and SAO, and while I thought NGNL was a very good anime and there really wasn't much that I disliked about it, I'm gonna pick SAO because even though there are... questionable moments in it, what I like about it, I like more than what I like about NGNL.

I personally enjoyed Stein's;Gate the most, BUT honestly I'd have no problem voting for Angel Beats either. Both shows handled their respective narratives very well. Angel Beats is definitely a tear jerker but anything that has to do with Key ends up being sad at one point or another.

As for No Game No Life, One Piece, and SAO. Well I haven't finished NGNL but what I saw of it was entertaining but not spectacular. One Piece on the other hand can be really good or it can be boring, but that's the way all long running shonens are. I am giving #3 to One Piece though because it just has a deeper story. NGNL is sort of just an anime about Sora and Shiro outwitting everyone. They do do it in creative ways though, I will give it that.

I think SAO is the guilty pleasure of the anime industry. It's that wet dream we have but we dare not tell anyone about it because we'd fear getting made fun of.
