Using a Roku 2100X (version 3.1 build 1198) here, and I cannot get anything to stream since the update.

Every video I try, no matter how many times I try, says "Loading..." for a few seconds and then says this:


Couldn't Play Video

Please check your connection/account and try again.


It's been an hour now. Trying again is clearly not the solution. There's something wrong. This all worked fine on Thursday before you guys gave us this update.

Try unplugging the Roku for a minute then plug back in. If that does not work delete the CR app, unplug your Roku for a minute then plug it in and reinstall the CR App. I have had this problem several times, once with Netflix then Funimation. I think they were both app updates especially Netflix. It may be a corrupt update that I would blame the Roku hardware for.

I already did that. I'm an engineer. I know how to power cycle a machine or re-install the app. I couldn't even (needlessly) re-activate my box until I uninstalled the app, so that would have happened regardless.

No, it's just broken.

And no response from CR, I notice. You guys are okay that you broke my streaming with this? Because if this is how it is, I'm canceling my premium. I subbed to watch CR on my Roku on my TV. You've broken that in about 20 different ways with this ill-advised update.

im on a 2400sk and having same issue got new interface but cant play any videos same message . worked fine on the old interface. tried removing app and power down and reinstall . re authenticated and still no joy. the box is actually a now tv box sold in uk

I managed to get something out of them. They're working on an update for the current app which will be released.....at some point, and won't be reinstating the old one for....reasons???

ON THE UP SIDE...

I was able to stream last night. I guess it was a back-end problem?

ON THE DOWN SIDE...

It looks BLOODY AWFUL. Full of those video glitches people have posted pictures of, little horizontal lines like on a really old VHS tape.

This is only marginally better than being unable to stream...

3. Bit Rate Override Screen. This is actually how she fixed the loading and digital artifact errors. I switched from auto to 3.5. This is also where you can enable playback debugging which is useful

Rewind 3 times,

I tried the bit rate override thing for my horrible, static-y picture... And it didn't work. Still glitchy.
