Hi all, just need to vent a little. 1st my copy of mym magazine doesn't turn up, then the book depository sent me the wrong order, ( death note volume 1 when it should have been gantz volumes 31 & 32 ), then because all bad things come in 3s all my gems on brave frontier have disappeared. Ok rant over how's your day going?

My day has been decent so far, so I can't complain.

Not to be that guy, but the wrong books being delivered is not that bad of a thing, albeit an annoyance.

I don't have bad days really, odd as it sounds, because I usually know that I control my own day and won't allow it to tailspin. You only go around once, no need for the malevolent.

Just watched Aldnoah.Zero so unless the usual being pissed at having to wait a whole week till the next ep feel is considered bad, I'm feeling pretty great.
Although there was that no-video incident with Sailor Moon this morning which irritated the hell out of me, nothing else that bad has happened. So yeah, for once, my day is not crap. It usually is tho.

Have to agree with you here... Just go with the flow. Life is too short to get upset at the little details in life.

Sounds nice to be able to do that.
Sadly for me, my day = the internet. I don't control the internet one bit, so many bad things appear that ruin my day.

Yeah I hear ya. I limit my internet usage lately, only an hour or so in the morning, none throughout the day, which is easier once I have a schedule and things to do, and a few at night so I can eat dinner and watch my animes/listen to music. I also avoid news sites like the plague, don't have social media, and rarely read comments on anything. I just don't want to deal with it. Isolation is my thing.

You just have to remember that bad as it seems, there's always a chance for a tomorrow. If I didn't have that mentality, I'd be far worse off, but I've trained myself to keep moving on.

I control my own reactions to all my life situations and I do not allow anything to ruin my whole day.

Also, changing how you let it make you feel helps too. Took me years to learn that.

....limiting my internet so much would destroy me more than being in it all day does. O.O
But yeah, wish I also avoided comments, forums, etc,. more often as well. It also isn't that hard to do really, but even if I do, Anime pic-hunting is one of my hobbies, so I'm bound to find pics that bother me a lot too. Then with Anime, many may take plot-twists that ruin may ruin a series you loved and the like too....there's just no escaping misfortune in this world, sadly.

I wish I could share that mentality. I'm an extremely paranoid person, so I can never hope for tomorrow to be a better day no matter how much I try. I always think of the worst possible outcomes for my hopes.

I think we all think of the worst possible outcomes, it's why we have the emotion of surprise and relief. For every bad outcome, there's a good one too.

If we all think of the worst possible outcomes, then I guess it's just me that feels a sense of optimism from that last phrase....
Either that, or my sense of pessimism just happens to be worse than that of most other people.

I know a lot of pessimists and I used to be one but I realized that at some point you can only deal with the here and now and not the future or past.
