i liked the newest version of the live action peter pan with jeremy sumpter playing peter. i've always luved the idea behind the story, the playwrite was a genius. a boy wanting to be a child forever can have countless joys but forever barred from those that normal children have. it's so sad! of course, peter isn't as likeable in the book or play as he is in the newest adaption. so for further discussion, the part where the children must clap their hands to save tinkerbelle, is there a neverland inside of all of us? even those who left neverland behind and have passed the point of no return? i agree that wendy was a moron for leaving peter and neverland. i could live without the pressures of growing up.

I loved the movie! I really want to become like Peter Pan, to stay young forever because I don't want to enter the adult world! Lol it's so complicated, plus there are work and responsability...>_<

ah peter pan it was almost like yesterday when children were watching it and trying to fly...
Posted 3/25/08
I like it because it subconsciously depicts the fear of growing up.
lmao to abyssinianrose.

I remember all the versions of peter pan; they aren't different from each other. If I were Wendy I would have stayed in wonderland. Micheal Jackson really took it to heart tho.

............

i had goosebumps when you mention michael jackson. dear lord. lol

that's what i keep saying to everybody!! i keep telling everyone that wendy was an idiot for leaving neverland.. It just don't make sensee.. she was having so much funnn!

i think that's the message the author wanted us to get though?? they want to convey that choosing to be an adult is the right thing to do. Which i disagree with. I think being a child at heart is a really good thing instead.

Peter pan did leave Neverland tho, and he married Wendy's daughter, so I guess he too wanted to grow up.

Uhhhh, that's from Hook. In cannon to the original book, Peter never permanently left Neverland. He just kept coming back for each of Wendy's female descendants to play with and to have temporarily act as his "mother".

Hell, has anyone here actually read the original book or play? Or saw the original play? I liked Hook, but I also hated it, because my favorite line in Peter Pan was "To die would be an awfully big adventure!" and the reason they gave in Hook as to why Peter didn't want to grow up was because he was afraid of dying. That's crap.

I love the new one and Finding Neverland. The only flaw in the new Peter Pan was that they focused so much on Wendy that they changed the ending greatly, but it a satisfactory way nonetheless. I really want to read Peter in Red and the Peter and the Starcatcher series.

I never wanted to grow up and still to this day feel that way. I love comic, play video game, believe in Santa, and still watch cartoon. So you tell me if I grown up.
